I enjoyed very much the video of the 2014 Dallas Cowboys' team highlight film, "Finish the Fight."
I do have some criticisms though - comparing this video to the past videos in the 80s, 90s, and even into the 2000s.

1. All this program is were the game highlights. There was no mention of players from each position group. A couple of players got mentioned - but I would never had known Anthony Hitchens, Mackenzie Bernadeau, Barry Church, Nick Hayden, James Hanna, Brandon Carr and others were even on the team. It doesn't matter how good or bad anyone perceives them to be. Back in time, the backups would be mentioned.

2. There was no mention of the coming arrivals. The 1989 highlight film showed college highlights of Aikman. NFL Films used to do this for all team's team highlight films. I was so looking forward to seeing at the end the incoming players of Hardy, Jones, Gregory, and Collins. This program was supposed to be designed to pump up the fans for the upcoming season, correct? It is just last year's highlights now.

3. They NEVER SHOWED the Terrance Williams clutch 20-yard toe-catch in Seattle! How does that get left out? In fairness, they never showed the controversial Hitchens' play versus Detroit. They also did not show the Beckham catch (I was shocked they didn't). I thought they would to take a jab at the Cowboy fans.

Side note: Terrance Williams did get shown more than Dez - just not that catch.

OVERALL: I did enjoy the highlight film - but it was just not the same.

I really enjoyed the Philly portion. Dez & Tony schooled those birds that night.

Also brought back memories on how Dez went straight beast mode in London on Jax.

Nah it's not the NFL films production he is talking about. It's a DC media production. They don't try to be the the yearbook thingee.
I watched it, and it sure looked like the video yearbook to me. It was titled "Finish the Fight", "The Story of the 2014 Dallas Cowboys", and right after the Dez Bryant catch/non-catch, the scroll said "An NFL Films Production".

Well there is another one made by DC media with that same name.

My bad -- given the timing of this post, I assumed the OP was referring to the highlight video shown on NFLN on Tuesday. I guess I forgot what they say about "assume" = @$$-u-ME!

This is the one I was referring to. It was fine.

From what I have seen of NFL Films, the only time that they will look to reference draft picks and new additions is when the previous season was a disaster. Seeing Troy Aikman college video for a yearbook chronicaling the 3-13 season of 1988 makes sense, as there weren't many highlights of that season other than Herschel Walker running for 1514 yards.

It probably also showed Jerry Jones and Jimmy Johnson, when both weren't anywhere near Dallas during that season.
