I started playing it at one time, but like you. I had no idea what I was doing and was playing alone.

That said, my biggest issue with MMORPGs is the time suck part of them. When I first start playing; I will find the time to invest, but after awhile. Life imposes it's will and I can no longer play enough to make any real advancement. Not to mention, it becomes monotonous.

I've recently started playing Neverwinter. I love the fact that it follows the D&D 4E rules and you get to meet up with Drizzt and other characters from the books.

EVE is, without a doubt, the most innovative free form universe that currently exists in gaming.

Technically brilliant but... it is not for everyone.

About a week in. Watched a few videos about tips for beginners, combat/etc but will admit its very easy to get information overload and feel overwhelmed. I believe{?}:huh:I am almost done with the tutorial.

Yes. It's information overload.
I bumped about for a month.
Found a corp to join - they helped - mining.

Getting books for your skill points.

There are many layers to the game.
But with learning once you get started no problem.
Just don't go to .4 space and lower or you go boom.

I have about 5 things going.
Mining planets, mining ore, specialty mining from moons, building things from blueprints......

.4 space or lower is where you can be shot on sight - no problem.
.5 and above - Concord. Those ships at the stargates will come and blow the other guy up.
New players are usually about in .9 and .8.
The lower the number the harder it is.
More players take a shot at you or declaring war on your corp.

So .4 and below is pretty much PVP
And .5 and above is safe?
Is there a way to tell what level of zone you are in?

I sent you some ISK to help along.
If you want to know where you are in the levels.
Look in the upper left. it will have the Solar system you are in and the level.

Pretty much .5 and above is safe. But there are gankers out there that will kill you and lose their ship to concord.

Thank you very much for the ISK.
Currently I am @ the Republic Military School/Ammold 1.0 and being tutored on The Agency. Right now I have the Reaper, Venture/Mining ship and a Blueprint for the Rifter.
When you die in PVP what can they take from you? ISK? Flex? Everything in your cargo hold?
Thank you again!
