I liked Age of Empires.

Don't think its necessary but I believe you can purchase items to make gameplay easier.
Forge of Empires doesn't play anything like Age of Empires, Age of Empires 2 has been given the HD treatment and is on Steam. The original Age of Empires proper has been remastered and on the Microsoft Store but you need Windows 10 https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/age-of-empires-definitive-edition/9n2kmdvlk85d

Played it off and on from 03 to 2011, wife and kids now so i don't have the time anymore, but man did i love that game. I love ccp's anytbing goes policy it's made for an amazing sandbox that i would still be coming back too if it wasn't such a huge time sink

I would, but my mouth can get a bit too filthy for the work place. Not to mention, that wouldn't be a good example to set for my team hah nor would ownership appreciate me doing that to the employees. rofl
We do poke fun at each other, but nothing like I do with my buddies on Friday nights. That gets downright vicious.

This wont be on PC at release{in October} but there have been unconfirmed reports it will be on PC eventually. If its on PC its a instant buy for me, like you I hardly touch my consoles anymore.

While I understand the performance greatness a PC can provide, I'm still a console guy. I have both Xbox and PS4. I do have a PC but it's not built to run anything special.
