We've seen the consequences of this horrible relationship being re-ignited, with Kiffin. A major decision that single-handedly doomed our season.

Once Garrett is let go, does it matter who we hire?

Look at the guys doing the hiring.

Do you trust any of them to make the right decision?

Jerry, doing his 'best' GM work ever. And Stephen, the cap wizard.

And through it all, we've got Lacewell in their ears.

No part of that is re-assuring.

I am not one of those people that think Kiffin is THE problem. Carr, Ware, Scandrick...I mean our best players are not doing anything. Lee, Claiborne, Spencer, Ratliff, Crawfod, Carter.....these were projected starters that have been hurt. So the talent has been injured or underachieved. Not sure ANY defensive coordinator could have helped out our personell issues.

I don't think Lacewell has the impact he once did. I for one am happy with our recent drafts to be honest. Fred was a great pick, Murray, Smith, the Leary pick up, Lee, Williams, Harris. I even think Mo will come around and so will Carter. Heath and Wilcox might be players with more experience. Escobar I think it going to be solid in the passing game once he gets more acclimated and gains strength.

I'm all for canning this staff, but the same problem exists with an owner/GM this visible and this incompetent.

I agree that we have other problems besides the def coordinator but they are poorly coached . Yesterday for example, we had greenbay in a 3rd and three in the fourth quarter. We go to a zone and EVERY pass defender is behind the sticks at the snap. An easy pitch and catch for the first down even for Matt Flynn

The whole process and structure is messed up in Dallas to win football games. It is built to allow Jerry and Son control, comfort and attention, so their choices for coaching staff and front office staff will always reflect that, not smart football people. Just how it is and no surprises to anyone after all this time.

Good head coaches win regardless of their coordinators. We can't keep switching them out every year. Caughlin won superbowls with 2 different DC's, because the teams were a reflection of the head coach and played tough and were disciplined. Our players are a reflection of our coach, meek, soft and undisciplined. Great for a Dungeons and Dragons club, sucks for a football team.

Who cares.

EVEN if garrett is fired, the jones are still here.

Let that soak for a minute or two...............make sure you're on the first floor.

I agree with what is being said. As I've said for years the only real hope is things get so embarrassing, like last night, that Jerry decides enough is enough. Do I have faith in this? No. But that is the hope. Garrett needs to go and Jerry needs to realize the window is gone so a strong hire is the answer. A lot to ask but the only real hope.
