Even the Raiders might school us

They will have to re-sign Brown, who's older than Cooper, to a huge deal next year. And he will cost more than Cooper.

To me it's still advantage Cowboys. Brown may be a better all-around receiver but his attitude issues wore out his welcome in Pittsburgh.

And Cooper is not a tier 2 receiver. He's lower tier 1, but still tier 1.

And Cooper is a great teammate who keeps his mouth shut and supports his QB. Cannot put a price on that from a position full of divas.

This is where Jon Gruden failed. Cooper is a quiet guy by nature. Gruden misunderstood that and figured Cooper lacked passion. To me, it's nice to see a guy like Coop just go about his business and make big plays.....and act like he's done it before.

Dallas has a 25 year old, low-maintainence playmaker. The Raiders will soon get a 30 year old loudmouth diva playmaker that throws his QB and coaches under the bus the moment things turn rocky.

What makes him tier 1? His lack of production or his extraordinary inconsistencies?

The Raiders are already rocky.

Got a 1st rd pick for tier 2 WR with one year of control and a large cap hit.

Could turn around and get the best WR in the league with two years of control for a 2nd rd pick and a much smaller cap hit.
Amari is 24 and on the cusp of being an elite WR. Just entering his prime.
AB is 30, a known locker room cancer, and will start to decline from here. Oh, and he's going to want to be paid like the best WR in football.

Still think the Raiders "won"?

You're omitting a key detail:

Cooper is 24.

Brown is 30.

That's a big deal. Cooper's best ball should be ahead of him, Brown's best ball is probably behind him.

Reminds me of that post game interview where they asked Amari if he was tired after his long touchdowns in the game and he just smiled and said “I’m an athlete”. Love coop and hope he has an even bigger year this season.

He has speed, suddeness, and body control. He's an advanced route runner with a keen understanding of defensive concepts and has an uncanny knack for getting open. Cooper is explosive into and out of his breaks, keeps DB's off balance by gearing up and gearing down with varied gaits, and is superb running after the catch. He can win contested footballs and is capable of the circus catch.

Now, what makes him lower tier 1? For a number one receiver he has just ordinary size (he's not Julio Jones or A.J. Green tall). In the past he struggled with drops, but we did not see that in Dallas last season. And for a player of his immense talent, he will have some games where he simply disappears (we did see that last year against the Colts and Bucs).

Lack of production? Cooper has been very productive, his qb in Oakland didn't get him the ball enough. So don't expect him to get it to Brown anywhere near what Ruthlessraper did.

If that’s the case, then you could make a case for 65-70 tier 1 WRs in the nfl right now.

Larry Fitzgerald put up elite numbers regardless of his qb. So did Andre Johnson, so does Denadre Hopkins. If you need to make excuses as to why you don’t produce, then you’re probably not one of the best.

Just because you’re going to pay him like a tier 1 doesn’t get him grandfathered in.

Antonio Brown has none of the physical tools. He ran a 4.6 at the combine, and is one of the shortest receivers of the last 30 years to lead the league in receiving. Because these don’t make you a tier 1.

Amari Cooper’s greatness that you’re describing does not translate into the field the way it should for a tier 1. If he never produces like a tier one, then he can’t be a tier one.

This is an inflammatory type posr/thread. One that many would call a troll post.

Cooper is not a tier 2 WR . If you can understand that, then there is not point explaining the other problems with your post.
