Ask Chip and the Philly offense. They know exactly what it feels like.

Let's give credit where credit is due. All week the talk in the media was focused on how old man Monte (he might not be exactly 93 years old, but you get the idea) came up short against Chip in the college ranks.....well, we saw how much that mattered today. Kudos to Monte and the entire defensive staff for shutting the Philly offense down ENTIRELY and holding them to ZERO TD's.

I'm not going to go into specifics or details, but when was the last time we saw this team win back to back divionsal games and be undefeated in the division 7 games in?

This is absolutely fantastic. We'll have all week to complain and criticize the areas of the team that didn't perform well today....so for now let's just enjoy the fact that we're sitting atop the East.

Well done Monte. Well done Garrett. Well done Dallas.

:)

*Side Note: Today I saw some of the absolute worst officiating I've EVER seen in a Cowboys game. Unbelieveable. But we won anway...

Remember all the hand-wringing when we hired Monte because of the way USC was dominated by Chip's Oregon offense? I do.

They pitched a shutout today, and if the Eagles had another QB they would put him in because we absolutely embarrassed the other two.

I don't think they realized Monte basically has a CCW in Carr, Mo,Oscan and Lee........that he finally figured out how to use

Thinking about that he would certainly know all the variations of plays Chip would run. He showed today that with the right players he could STOP it.

Agreed, the PI with Dez in the end zone was the ONLY call to go our way.

The officiating was attrocious. The missed personal foul on Romo at the beginning of the game. The non-review on the Dez catch at the end of the 1st half. The non-call on the PI on Dez right after the previously mentioned play. Plus the ticky tacky penalties they called on us during the 1st half. Absolutely unbelievable. And that's just off the top of my head.

The national media wrote about and talked about this story seemingly everyday this offseason.

Most fans did also.

I seem to remember a guy who claims to have insiders at USC telling me we would never beat Philly because Kiffin was too old and dumb and chip Kelly killed him at oregon.

I bet that guy is miserable today, the cowboys won.

This IMO was blown way out of proportion, none of the media actually talked about how USC is strapped with ncaa sanctions and their lack of scholarships. That played a big part in it. Even Kiffin himself said they just didnt have the talent.

No doubt about it. Monte brought his A game and the defense was clearly prepared and ready to go today.

And you know what, for as much flack as this defense has received for giving up yards, they really deserve some credit as far as giving up points.

The last time they gave up a passing TD was during the 3rd quarter of the Broncos game. That's 9 straight quarters now that they haven't allowed a QB to throw a TD on them, in a pass happy league. There's something to be said about that.

Is that really true? Too lazy to look it up.

Yeah the defensive holding call on bruce carter was nothing compared to Dez getting mugged. I thought Wilcox's crazy pick being overturned was terrible because it was called a pick on the field and the replay looked like avant's hand was clearly under the ball. Where is the evidence to overturn that??? I thought the fix was definitely in against us then but then Matt Barkley saved us from the refs.

Dude, I honestly thought the same thing. The inconsistency with the calls was absolutely ridiculous. We actually had five inerceptions today and ended up getting credit for three. Some of the penalties were unreal.

The D was helped today by atrocious QB play by Foles. He was so bad, I hated seeing him go out of the game.

True. His receivers had petroleum jelly on their hands too.
I've never seen so many drops by one team in a single game.
