Every defensive snap by EZ

The play at 50 seconds is interesting to me.

He's lined up in the wide 9, "D" gap, out there on an island, but then gets pushed enough inside by the WR. Allowing the RT to pull

..not bad, I saw few pressures and couple of double teams. He didnt look lost out there.

Needs some more work, building his tempo in NFL.

Just as I thought during the game. He looked fine. Lost contain once or twice being aggressive, but held his own for the most part against the run. Did well moving towards the QB and creating heat. Saw a few double teams, whether it was the TE helping out or the RB shading to his side. You could tell the Rams respected his ability, which is a good sign. I think he will develop into a really Good DE. Give him time. The game is still moving fast and he's just getting his feet wet.

I saw at least two, maybe three WB pressures.

One time he definitely failed to hold the edge and turn the play inside.

He was double teamed several times.

Not as bad as the chicken littles are saying and he certainly will do better with Micah on the other side.

Team really needs Osa to be very very good.

I am not seeing bad play -- limited snaps in his first NFL game. The folks at PFF rated him well -- I don't know how they know his assignments but they thought it was adequate.

Rams OL might have been all backups but these are all guys with a year or two under their belts.

That OL played a bunch last year together. Do not discount that OL

Thanks for the sharing. The hysteria over his bad play is mind boggling. Guy looked fine in as vanilla a defense as you will see.
I was interested in seeing how his instincts looked out on the field.

There was the issue of not being more physical with the WR and throwing him off. That is a battle he should be winning.

There was a couple of plays that he should have followed the technique of pursuit down the line. Instead he widen out into the LB areas and he could have used his footspeed to catch the RB who was tiptoeing. Oddly enough a few plays later he starts using the down the line technique and actually gets involved in a tackle of the runner.

Funny how good technique and football principles actually work. He is young, and instinctually he is not there. That is what the rookie year is all about - acclimating and witnessing for the first time so you can diagnose quicker and possibly anticipate their chess moves.

He definitely got held on a couple of pass rushes. Biggest thing I noticed is that Bennett was getting rid of the ball really quickly, which means the corners were getting beat right off the line. Not surprising given what we have at corner right now.
I saw that too. It was 2-3 seconds every time he dropped back. They obviously made him getting it out a priority in their planning
