Every snap by Malachi Lawrence

It’s early, but this is why I wanted Bain with our first pick….we NEED a pass rusher, even more than safety at that first pick.

It's one preseason game. If Lawrence got a sack or two would we be fitting him for a gold jacket? No. So there's no need to write him off after 16 snaps. And he really didn't do poorly anyway.

The mention on Malachi Lawrence during draft night that he's raw and more of a project. If I remember correctly the experts liked the pick, but did mention he's about 2 years away. Not an immediate impact

why did i click on this thread? i knew i was gonna read a bunch of horrible takes. imma go back to the Von Miller signing thread. only just some horrible takes in that one.

Looked like I would expect a rooking DE to look in his first game, some good and some bad. More good then bad though.

I don’t know. I thought he looked ok. He had a QB hit, nearly batted a ball. He lost contain on one play, but so what. People make it sound like he played nine-man football and should have stayed there.

it was one game.

You know that they draft for pure need in the first round, and in their minds, LT is addressed.

It was especially alarming to me when Jerry was hyping up Guyton last week. The king of attempting to talk things into existence
Wouldn't it be nice to have Lomu taking reps with the 1s?

Not a lot to get out of so few snaps, but one thing I thought was important to point out is that during one play where the Seahawks were in the redzone, he took on a double team block and stood his ground.

Nothing really stood out on film positive or negative, he filled some gaps and impacted a few of those running plays. This is pretty much what I expected of him

It's impossible to evaluate when they're asking him to just stay home on the backside for so many of these plays. Only had 2-3 true passrushes.

Real strong at the POA at :36 seconds.
Good rush at :41 seconds.

Those are probably the two most meaningful snaps from this tape.

He definitely didn't look like he shouldn't be on the field. He'll probably be a guy with an 11% or 12% win rate and 1 or 2 sacks this year. Pretty typical for a 1st round rusher

Worst moves by the Cowboys UPDATED 2026!

1. Drafting Lawrence
2. Firing Jimmy
3. Firing Landry
