I think we trade down a few spots and pick up an extra 3rd and a 7th

1 - Sly Williams DT, UNC

For whatever reason, I like him more than the other DTs that are floating around that late 1st early second round. Short is a good option, but I like Williams.

2 - Terron Armstead OT, APB

Great athlete, steps in and starts day one at RT. We can finally move on from Doug Free.

3 - Phillip Thomas FS, FSU

I like this guy. I know some have said he'll go in the 2nd, but I think guys like Reid, Elam, Swearinger, and Cyprien will all go first. He should be there in the third. For this defense, that works well because he can be a ball hawk while Church roams shorter.

3 - Sio Moore OLB, UConn

If either Greene or Brown is still here, I take them for sure, but I don't know that they will last this long. Moore is still a good option and will probably compete to start.

4 - Kenjon Barner RB, Oregon

This offense needs speed and playmakers. Though he's not going to be an every down replacement if Murray goes down, he adds another dimension to this offense. You can't coach speed, and if JG can figure out how to get him the ball in space, he could be deadly.

5 - Paul Kruger DE, Utah

I've seen him go later, but I think he's a good player. I'm tempted to take a guy like Chris Harper if he's still there, but I like Beasley and not sure he gives you more than Danny Coale. Kruger can be a solid rotational guy early imo.

6 - Peter Lalich QB, Cal U

I like him. I like the Garrett connection. I don't think we're looking to replace Tony necessarily, but he could come in and compete for the backup spot right away. If Tony plays strong, maybe you trade him and turn him into a 2nd rounder in a couple of years. If not, he could step in and be your QB of the future.

7 - Michael Williams TE, Bama

Big guy, should immediately be able to step in and help in the run game. Might not be here still, but if he is, I'm all over it.

I like the first 3 picks. This sounds stupud but My only complaint is that it fills too many holes. Very rarely will a draft fill that many holes if they are doing bpa. I think a good draft has some guys like the Murray or carter picks where everyone is angry.

:laugh2: Fair enough. I don't disagree really, but this is one of those rare occasions where the depth in the draft allows you to fill a lot of holes. Maybe its too convenient to be possible.

If Vaccaro isn't taken in first I'd expect safety in second. Love syl. Williams if we can add quality picks for sliding down.

Really like Armstead but think we go safety in 2nd

Phillip shouldn't be here but who knows

Sio Moore I think should be gone but I agree we go OLB in draft

I think Barner might be a reach here. But could add a dimension we lack

Love Kruger agree he won't last 6th round

Last two are a flyer and blocking TE who never got used enough in passing game

Overall I'd be happy with this draft. 5 players that start/contribute right away.

I'm liking this one, but I'm struggling to figure out where the Safeties and the RB's are going in this draft. From what I'm seeing in the mocks, Safeties seem to be going in all the rounds, but the RB's appear to be a plentiful commodity in rounds 4 and on. Realistically, will a good one be available late? The Commanders got one quite late, but is that the exception?

Yea, RBs are hard to judge. I feel relatively comfortable with FS, but RBs seem to be all over. I though about holding off on Barner, and targeting a guy like Maysonet a round or 2 later, but that might mean missing out on Lalich.

I think nowadays you can get a contributing RB, if not a starter, in the 3rd round and later. For Dallas, I think a vet RB like Ivory, and an explosive guy like Barner makes a ton of sense, so I might have reached for him a bit.

This is one of the best mock drafts I've seen so far. 4 potential starters.

I really like this draft.... I'd have trouble not taking a G in that 2nd 3rd round pick or in the 4th.... some good Oline prospects in this draft.
