No one is talking about the absence of Shockey. This is huge. HE is really the only consistent weapon the Giants have displayed against the Cowboys. Boss is alright, but he is not Shockey.

Losing Shockey is a bigger blow to the Giants than an injured TO is to us! I say injured because I don't see TO missing this game unless his leg falls off.

But that goes against the current mediot agenda of pimping the giants.

his absence does not effect us as much as T.O. does.

17 catches, 170 yards a 1 touchdown in two games, I would say that is a huge loss, nobody´s even mentioning it.

I think it is a huge loss for the Giants.

We will own Eli.

Losing Shockey is not as important as losing Owens, the Giants have won games without Shockey, we haven't even scored a TD without Owens.

Shockey is a big loss but not as big as T.O. - however if it just an "injured" T.O. then you are correct, even at 50% he will still make us much better.

I would agree with that, but the thing is that TO could play on Sunday and obviously shokey will not.

I know he's no Shockey, but Kevin Boss impressed me. It seems like the kid can play.

On Sirus this morning, they were saying that Gil Brandt during the draft last year said that this kid would be a steal on Day 2.

Losing Shockey has been somewhat negated since Boss has really stepped it up, and with the return of Steve Smith from injury the Giants go a lot of multiple WR's with Smith, Toomer and Plexiglass.

Wow...I cannot agree with that. Losing Shockey is a big blow, but they still have two WR's who can beat man coverage and Steve Smith who is a capable guy, not to mention two running backs who've been coming up big.

Without TO, we have no receiver that other teams will respect, no one we can count on to beat his man consistantly, which means it's easy for a team to double Witten and shut down our running game.

Without TO, I have to like the NY offense better than ours...we are very limited without TO, and every down without him has proven that.

The reason why they are not talking about Jeremy Shockey as much is because the Giants just won a Playoff Game and played pretty well against the New England Patriots.

The Cowboys have not been the same offense since he got hurt.

Our pass rush will negate their WR's. It always has. Newman is healthy, so is Henry. They can play man for the short time that Manning will have to throw. Ellis and Ware will be pressuring him on any 5 or 7 step drops.

Shockey has always been the guy to hurt the Cowboys. Boss is an adequate replacement, but he is not going to make a dozen catches.

TO being only 75-80% with Glenn in their on passing downs will strain their secondary. TO may not be able to make the cuts needed for the outs, but look for him on the slants and crossing routes. Witten will slip free then and with TO doubled, or Glenn doubled, Witten will run free.

We will fill the void. Our recoveries form injuries elswere, on both sides of the ball, can make the difference.

It's a huge factor, so lets pray other players have recoverd if TO hasn't.

Man, I really wish I could believe that.

I just don't think you can replace a HOF Caliber receiver.

We will have to lean heavily on Marion Barber and Julius Jones if Terrell Owens is not able to go.

Mickey Spagnola and some others in the media felt that it was a push for him to be ready by Sunday and maybe they were right.

I think Terrell Owens will play but I wonder how effective he can be.

I really don't think the Giants have a chance if Terrell Owens takes the field.

Your right about that. Especially if Barber can be the passing threat he has shown to be at times.

I think it's funny, and it's been mentioned in other threads, that Eli appears more calm without Shockey in there whining and screaming.

You know what's funny Eli's best games are normally against us.... Such as the first game of the year. With that said we always seem to beat him winning the last 3 meetings.
