how the hell do you expect the cowboys to get him from the pack. I mean it's not like their just gonna be like here take him. Someone please explain to me...

When looking for new coaches, sometimes they get one from a great coaches "tree".

I would like to get our DC from someone who studied under Dick LeBeau.

most believe his contract is up at the end of the year. if that is the case, and mind you there is no concrete evidence of this, he is free to come to the cowboys and he and red have a great relationship from my understanding. he wanted to come here until the great brian stewart blocked his move because of insecurities.

Jerry Jones is going ot send Buehler to Green Bay to kick their management's but until they let their DC go. Except Buehler will miss left and come back coachless.

Hey, you asked.

ray horton? is he getting any buzz for DC positions?

They would have to make him asst HC unless he already has that title in GB.

A name to keep an eye on from GB's staff...

Kevin Greene

Only been coaching for a couple of seasons, but has worked with Capers for a long-time between his playing days and since joining GB's staff. I could see him getting some defensive coordinator looks this off-season or next.

Not going to happen! The only way he comes here is if he is offered the HC position.

GB's defense is #1 in the NFL in scoring defense right now. Even if he is at the end of his 2 year deal they will resign him most likely before seasons end. These are not facts, but they would be fools to let him go, especially to another NFC team.

The Brian Stewart experiement screwed this whole thing up! Where is that Bozo these days anyway? The last I heard was Philly.

If Jerry throws some paper at him and he is defensive coordinator/assistant head coach, I could see him coming.

It's still a stretch though.

well the only thing is if his contract is up, HE has the choice, not gb. but that is a big IF when it comes to his contract. also, the assistant HC title does nothing. there are 2 tiers of coaches in the nfl when it comes to tampering, HC and all other coaches. even the title of assistant hc would be a lateral move and not a promotion.

It's pretty amazing that you guys believe Green Bay has rights on a guy not under contract with them.

Dom has a bad record as a HC. Just bc his def is good, I dont think others will give him a shot considering he went 30 and 34 with Carolina and 48 and 80 with Houston.

I don't know if that is true. I think you can offer asst HC to upgrade the move. I'm not sure about this. It used to be true.

Realistically Jerry would not try this unless Capers wanted to come here badly and the Pack were willing to let him out of his deal.

my understanding is that the nfl changed the rules 2 or 3 years ago to prevent teams from stealing other coaches by using a bogus title with no added responsibility.

It has been said twice but still doesn't seem to have registered. All indications are his contract runs out at the end of this season. Green Bay cannot keep him without a contract. They may offer him one, but remember, Winston Moss, the LB Coach is actually the Assistant HC in Green Bay and has been there for 5 years.

The bottom line is, if we want Capers and he wants to come here, if his contract is over, he can.

Yeah its HC or just coach. Coordinators are the same as regular coaches.
I doubt Capers will get another HC slot since except for his second year at Carolina he never had much success.

Ok. Doesn't seem to matter here as his contract is expiring. I wonder if Garrett will go after him. Jerry will money up the money if necessary.

Let's see what Capers can do these next three weeks. GB plays NE, NYG, and CHI.

Rogers is coming off a concussion and GB is in a must win situation. The defense has to step up. We'll see what Capers can do. If GB wins out, I'd try to get Capers. If GB loses out, forget it.

And if GB doesn't make the playoffs, I don't think Capers will be in all that demand even if his defense is great in the stats department.

So we should base our analysis off 3 games?
