Those guys may have had hair like girls... but they were so damn ugly you knew they were guys! :D

BTW, I saw them last year in concert with Steve Augeri at lead and they still sound fantastic!

They keep coming into town, and I've considered it. Styx sounds great with Laurence Gowan, but still, to have been alive then.

I am lucky though - I got to see Boston about 2 years before the lead singer died.

Listening to all this new-fangled music reminds me of why I only listen to 80s music.

Ahhh...Guttermouth, haven't listened to that in years. Makes me miss California.

You know that Augeri's name is pronounced "Oh Jerry" right? Weird on so many levels.

BTW, if you get the chance to see Frontier (Journey cover band), do so. They're better than the real Journey sans Steve Perry.

Changes by Black Sabbath with Ozzy as front man was better.

"War Pigs" covered by Faith No More was better.

Trust Brian May on this one....these "guys" are so hardcore. DO NOT abandon this song.

Awesome. I wish I had seen that show when I was still "experimenting" in college.

That song is boo-boo.

The question is, as a local band for you, did you support them before they got famous, or are you latching on now? Not that it matters...

This song is money.

Punk,
I saw Gogol Bordello at Bumbershoot in Seattle on Saturday night. I had never seen or heard of them before.

It was the most fascinating show I have ever seen! I downloaded a couple of their albums Saturday night and have not stopped listening to them yet.

I like them so much that I made an impulse purchase to go watch them on Oct 24 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ. I can't wait!!

"Rise Against" is a newer band i have been listening too a lot lately.

Injection, prayer of the refugees, the good left undone......like these songs a lot.

the good left undone video can be seen with comcast on demand right now.

SP i would post a link, but....well you know

They grab you, and never let go. I haven't seen them live, and that's a pity.

Rise against is good, a little cleaner and neater than alot of punk stuff, but still real powerful what with the strong gritty vocals and all.

Right now I'm rawkin teh Bad Religionssssss.

Gonna have to go with the original on that one. Not too many bands can pull off covers.

I don't compare them. This is a new rendition with a different feel, thus a different song.

I'd go with niether. Although especially not that cover, because they basically just replayed the song...except a man is singing. It's the same drumline and all.

Not too many bands can pull off covers.

Agree. Unless you're the Gimme Gimme's. (Some fantastic cameo's in that vid...wow.)
