I disagree that the local Dallas media is afraid of JJ. Maybe they are at 105.3, the ”flagship” station. But the radio guys at Dallas’ best (IMO) sports talk station “The Ticket” (which is borne out by their ratings and winning multiple Marconi Awards) rip the Jones boys as often as they can.

The Ticket’s Craig Miller, George Dunham, Bob Sturm, Corby Davidson, and others call this a "clown show“ regularly on the air. The fact neither Jerry nor Stephen will ever agree to be interviewed by these guys bears this out. Former Ticket hosts Dan McDowell and Jake Kemp host a popular podcast called “The Dumb Zone”. Believe me, they tell it like it is. Former Ticket host Norm Hitzges has a weekly podcast and he pulls no punches.

In the local written media, guys like Calvin Watkins, Jon Machota, and Saad Yousef are also not afraid to write critically about the Jones boys.

Again, if you look and listen to the right people, the truth and criticism is there. It’s just the Jones won’t talk to those guys.
Dan McDowell went Rogue at the end and I loved it. I, as an ignorant being judged him based on the others talent early on, but he won me over late game. Good for him. Hopefully he isnt a piece a trash in real life. I need to check out his podcast.

The Ticket cast is just amazing...I do appreciate the overlords for it. The personality mix is just spot on...good job Overlords.

I wonder if this is more of a "Jerry has reigns over tv/media guys" more than just "radio guys". I do believe Jerry has influence in media...and its undeniable. Its part of what made him the king of the NFL.

Does that even count? Where are the rules listed for that?
I can't point you to the rules, but fwiw, I can tell you I read more than one legit source that discussed it in relation to his Jets hire... it's long ago documented as counting.
