In the where are they now trivia, Eddie George and Alonzo Spellman, both in LV, Eddie was piggin out and the arena team signed up Alonzo, incidently any Astro fans out there remember whne Roger Clements was nursing that hamstring and the team went to Chicago and got creamed on the road trip at the end of the season. Roger was "rehabbing" his hamstring playing golf at the Rio's course, took the whole family just thought that was interesting..

some real Cowboys trivia... a couple of easy ones... to keep the spirit of the topic

1. Which rookie running back started the opening game against the Arizona Cardinals in 1979, staubach's last year, because dorsett was hampered by that darn toe injury that plagued off and on every season it seemed like. the rookie threw a game-winning td pass to tony hill on a HB option. He rolled out to the right, then at the last second, had to comnpletely turn his body around to throw the ball because he was left-handed. landry admitted after the game he had no idea the player was left-handed. Incidentally, it was also Ottis anderson's first ever game for the Cards, and if memory serves, rushed for around 200 yards on Dallas.

2. How did Dorsett injure that toe, which was the cause of him missing games off an on in different seasons?

(sorry, I need a new keyboard, some capital letters do not work!)

Ron Springs...

And Dorsett dropped a mirror on his toe if I remember correctly.

yep, those were too easy. It just hit me now, though, thinking about that game, that hill opened that year just like he finished it. caught the game winner versus the skins in probably staubach's best game.

As a young fan at that time, I thought nothing of the mirror on the toe incident. But given the transgressions that would plague a certain member of that team later on that season, I have to wonder what the hell dorsett was doing with that mirror. Oh well, I shouldn't go there... a great rb for us, the best in the open field I've ever seen.

My guess on Dorsett - he was looking at himself in the mirror a lot. Odds got him.

Ok, here's another because I'm bored, last one I promise, just as easy for some, I'm sure.

When landry announced his decision to start Gary Hogeboom over Danny White in his press conference, which offensive tackle did he mistakingly name as his starting quarterback?

"I would like to announce... the starting quarterback this week will be..."

But he didn't say Hogeboom. landry had a lot on his mind that week!

The answer is Phil Pozderac, their tackle at the time.

Undoubtedly he had one of Pozderac's false start penaltys fresh in his mind. I remember that guy having us in 3rd and 35 all by himself. Flozell or no other Cowboy lineman has ever, or will ever, infuriate me as much as he did.
