John A. Lacko | Special to the Kalamazoo GazetteWMU quarterback Alex Carder threw for more than 3,000 yards, along with 30 touchdowns and 12 INTs as a sophomore in 2010.
In one season as Western Michigan University's starting quarterback, Alex Carder has impressed a few folks beyond the Broncos coaches and fan base. For example, NBC's Mike Mayock, also an analyst for the NFL Network, raved about Carder during WMU's visit to Notre Dame last season, unsure how the Broncos QB escaped more prominent football programs during the recruiting process.
