Three former NFL players are facing identity theft and tax fraud charges in Florida, The Miami Herald reported Tuesday.

Former Giants' and Vikings' first-round picks William Joseph, 32, and Michael Bennett, 33, were arrested and questioned Monday by FBI agents in connection with an alleged scheme to steal people's identities and file false tax returns.

Former Patriots draft choice Louis Gachelin, 31, was also detained by federal authorities, along with six others believed to have been involved in the alleged scheme, according to The Herald.

An FBI spokesman declined the paper's request for comment.

Former Dallas Cowboys Opponents Charged with Identity Theft

Three players that played against the Dallas Cowboys face charges for identity theft and tax fraud in Florida. The Dallas Cowboys organization has a history of players with legal problems. This incident is the latest black eye for the organization, one which is a tradition filled with criminal and fraudulent activity.

In 1996, Michael Irvin was celebrating his 30th birthday as police invaded the room where Irvin was apparently snorting cocaine off of a stripper’s breast.

In 2001, Nate Newton was arrested with 213 ponds of marijuana in his car. Several Dallas Cowboys have been arrested for smoking crack. Former Cowboys CB Pacman Jones had multiple arrest including a shooting incident at a strip club. Recently, former Cowboys receiver Sam Hurd was busted negotiating a major drug deal with an undercover agent.

Former Cowboys opponent OJ Simpson was acquitted of murder in which he later confessed to in an autobiography.

A diehard Dallas fan yelled, "Go Cowboys!" moments before he was executed by lethal injection in Texas after being convicted of murder.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was unavailable for comment.

Next thing will be crimes outside of football. A man who once went to a Cowboys game was arrested for armed robbery, the team had no comment. :lmao2:
