MIAMI -- Law enforcement in Miami-Dade County is seeking to arrest former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown on a charge of attempted murder, according to a warrant reviewed by The Washington Post.

The charge stems from a shooting Brown was allegedly involved in during a celebrity boxing event in Miami last month. The warrant shows a charge of attempted murder with a firearm; it also instructs Brown to post a $10,000 bond and remain on house arrest until trial, according to The Post.

Brown was detained by police after gunshots were fired at the boxing event, which was hosted by online streamer Adin Ross. Brown was seen fighting with several people on a video posted to social media, and gunshots could clearly be heard after the altercation.

Perhaps it's just me, but doesn't it seem odd that all he has to do is report in, post bond and put himself under house arrest until his trial date for attempted murder charges?

Not that easy for guys like this.

two levels of the 'law'

one for the rich and famous

one for everyone else

Look at Alex Baldwin; a fair number here said he should not be held responsible because he was an actor

I just returned from a two-week trip to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, and Salt Lake City. One of the couples on the trip with me is from California. My wife and I recognized the guy. He's an actor who was in a number of pharma commercials and has small roles in movies, usually as a bad guy, i.e., his henchman part in John Wick III. This subject came up. He said more often than not, actors rely on the armorer and special effects guys for anything gun and explosive related, as many actors don't know squat about firearms. He said that for every Keanu Reeves, a guy who puts in the work to know his ****, there are four or five that want nothing to do with guns outside of their role in a film.
