This type of game is why we need to consider a Big time RB via the draft

There will always be these type of nights--at least one or two per season, I can remember Aikman having them as well

Need a Rb that can takeover a game and take the pressure off a QB on a off-nite

beside's a D-mac type RB sells alot of tickets.....

Still cant' beleive T-New got caught on the int.

Love Romo in the post game----called it as it was....Just glad the team able to bail him out

Barber had 70 total yards. Jones had nearly 4 yards a carry.

The reason our run game didn't have a big night is because we were forced to a passing game early on when Romo threw 5 picks and put us behind. If your QB has a bad start like that there's not much a RB can do.

exactly, we couldn't committ to the run. I'd like to have seen Julius more. He was running pretty well.

I was thinking the same thing and T-new didn't turn it on till he felt the footsteps, it was too late by then...

Give me an o-line that can run-block....it doesn't amtter WHO we have for a RB if the line isn't getting it done.

Face it, they aren't getting it done in the running game early...only when the defense has been worn down in the 4th qtr. do we get most of our yards running.

TOP is the key with this team. If we don't have it, it will be a tough night, as tonight showed.

T-New's running at probably 80%...if he werent hurt, he'd have scored easy

After the "trade", and how big is that now, I thought about geting the best available RB. But through the first five games I think I have changed my mind. If by December there is another T-New available I can see Dallas using first round picks to improve the CB spot. It's a gamble sure but big fast corners don't grow on trees. There will be other RBs and Emmitt was not a top 5 pick anyway. Come to think of it neither was Romo. Now I need to duck out of this post before I have to read how wrong I am. LOL

Totally agree.

I posted on this topic a few days ago.

We have to get our running game going earlier. That's a huge reason why we start so slowly.

Even mediocre Julius had 4 yards per carry ... so obviously there were some holes there, because Julius sure as heck doesn't create on his own. Unfortunately, we don't have a Frank Gore. We have absolutely no one capable of making the 60 yard breakaway run if given a crease. Our "homerun" back hasn't hit a homerun in three years. It's definitely an aspect missing from this team.

I think we need depth in the OLine right now. I like our starters but there is one or two older guys there that I could see easily on the downside of their careers. So I wouldn't mind getting a young guy there with one of our first rounders. But I think they run block just fine.
