Excellent Game for the RBs

On offense we really only need to worry about WRs, and then only if we lose crayton. I think TG will be back next year. TO has at least 2-3 more top years left in him. We need to find out about Austin and Hurd as WRs, and get stanback started. Hurd did not show anything today, Austin did. I do not think either one of them will be more then a good #2. BUT we have a top #1 now and will have for a couple more years. Jerrah always said he likes going FA on WRs- So I say stand pat on the WRs for the next year and get Fitzgerald or Roy Williams, or someone like that for 2009.

It's not very wise to rely on a healthy Terry Glenn. TO is long in the tooth and Fitz is young. We are not deep at WR at all and on top of that, we're old.

Grab Fitz and mold some of our own and work on the defense and OL.

I'd keep Crayton also.

TO, Fitz, Crayton, Hurd, Austin and Stanback is a pretty decent WR corp if Glenn is done.

I beleive that both Fitz and Roy have another year to do on their contracts, right?

It's my understanding that Fitz is a FA after this year - uncertain about Roy but I don't see RW leaving there whereas Fitz has made it clear he wants out of Zona - he doesn not like the new "run-first" mentality they have morphed into this year.

Also the most conservative (by far) offensive game plan this year. An effort to reestablish our running game was full display. I think Wade wanted to prove we could still run the ball.

You probably have the right of it... and yes it was conservative...but you know what...I also think it was brilliant...it gives our opponents something to think about :)
