Not trying to argue with you but if that guy has all the attributes cited in this thread and also runs a 4.3, he would have had a much higher grade.

Of course I hope he is all that and some, but I've seen way too many project type WR over the years that many, including myself, were all hyped over and didn't even come close to working out.

That said, again...I welcome try hard guys. Probably much more than the team does, as that's exactly what Bernard and Anae are and they get passed over.

As I continue to babble....if no one gets hurt, only WR5 is in question...and at least one gunner is spoken for in Goodwin.

I'd give Fenohko more of a shot if Wilson wasn't such a good ST player.

However, based on the Broaddus and McClay info....he probably isn't someone you can sneak onto the PS.
Good stuff.

Two ways Arsenio makes the squad:

1. He shows enough potential.
2. He is very good on ST's.

He's going to have to blow up one or the other.

I hope he's not the next Jimmy Smith and a star on another team.

I just like saying his name. Sounds like a Japanese porn star.

I like players from Stanford, they're smart. They're like players from Duke only real football players.

WR Simi Fehoko, Stanford;
Drafted 5th Round
– 6-4, 230 and runs a 4.37

Some comments From Ourlads Draft:

-Used in a various ways, outside WR, deep go routes, slot WR, goal line jump balls, used as a Noah Brown type role at times, digging out blocks vs LBs as a motion HB.

- Only started one year, and displayed invaluable ability on special teams.

- Most big plays came from slot spot. Matchup nightmare in slot or bunched formation

- Described a long strider that eats up a lot of cushion in a hurry.
- Smooth, intelligent, deceptively athletic.
- Extremely violent hands at the top of his routes.

- Will need to work on neck-shoulder dexterity (dipping and swiveling hips and shoulders
to “ sell” his routes)
- Struggles with the more elite CBs at the top of his routes,
- Third/Fourth Round.

Me:
- I heard a You Tube Podcaster called Simi a “ bigger Cole Beasley “ but he doesn’t look near that fluid, smooth or change of direction foot quick.as Beasley.

- Ironically I heard Isiah Stanback on a Cowboys podcast say per OTA observations that Simi
doesn’t look “ fluid”...

From just his “ highlights” I can see Simi use his big body and arm stretch to snare contested
passes away from coverage guys, and he gain a few inches from some in the vertical game.
He's a project. Limited value and in a position stacked with talent. Who do you sit to play him? A TE or a WR? Moore does not seem flexible in his playcalling to utilize him. If he is Redzone specialty he will get double coverage and tip to the defense what is coming. Put him in motion maybe..bubble screen him? I have no idea where he can best play really. Dak will surely like him on passing downs.

And overrate UDFAs like Vasher just as much.

I definitely don't see as Vasher being a threat to any of our starters. I think he might be very fortunate to get a spot on the practice squad.

Like any other rookie, both he and Fehoko have much to learn. They need experience before they'll replace any WR on our active roster.

Vasher and Fehoko are both projects and you can probably get Vasher on the PS. WR is the trend these days and it seems that most teams have good WR's.

These guys are 5th and 6th Wr's on the depth chart, but both have some unique skill sets that are worth trying to develop.

They'll need to prove they're skilled enough to develop before it happens. Whether they're able to get on the roster is yet to be seen.

Excitement for the player is peaking now, but are we headed for a Simi Valley?

Many of us underestimate the jump that's required before a drafted rookie turns into a starter and perhaps, even, a backup.

The jump from college football to the NFL version of football is one that challenges even the best of potential candidates. o_O

Despite the talent that a drafted NFL candidate may be gifted with, the mental aspect, alone, is one that's often too difficult.
