When the Cowboys drafted former Georgia Tech RB Tashard Choice in the fourth round of the NFL draft last Sunday I was truly ecstatic knowing that he can come in and provide them with a great backup to MBIII.

If you saw him 'do work' at Tech and you saw him 'do more work' at the Senior Bowl then you know he's the real deal. The Cowboys got very lucky when he was still available in the fourth round. Jerry Jones took a lot of heat from Cowboys fans for his decision to pass up Rashard Mendenhall in favor of taking Felix Jones in round one, but I bet a lot of those same fans felt a whole lot more at ease when Jerry made his 'Choice' in round four.

With Choice I think the Cowboys get a guy who can step in for MBIII in case of emergency. I know Felix Jones is a very good RB, but I think Jason Garrett wants to use him in a different kind or role that wouldn't require him to be a 'between the tackles, 20 carries a game' kind of RB. There is no doubt Choice can carry the load if needed, just look at his numbers from last season.

Can you say 'Workhorse RB'? With all those 20+ carry games that's definitely his M.O. no matter what level of football you are playing at.

Now that's a guy I want leading my team each and every time out. The best part is that he not only talks the talk, but he also walks the walk folks!

Tashard Choice may just turn into one of the biggest steals of the 2008 NFL Draft.

Some have actually compared him to Marion. I'd say that's reasonably accurate. He's obviously not as "ferocious" when he runs as Marion, but no one is. He has exceptional cutting ability and vision as well. More so than Marion. But I think they have comparable size and speed. Choice does like to use the punishing stiff arm as well.

I really like this kid and I think he's definently going to have a much bigger role on our team then Tyson Thompson had the last few seasons. Also his attitude is refreshing. It is nice to see someone so grounded.

The Draft Guide I purchased compared him to Chris Perry of the Bengals and Reuben Droughns of the Giants.

How can you not like this kid? We are so much better at RB than we were last year.

I like everything about his game except his feet look so slow.

When he gets himself into the open field he cant out run anyone.

I think he'll be a good red zone guy for now but he has some work to do.

Hopefully he can get that 4.5 speed to translate to the field.

I had to work Sunday and thus had to keep up with the draft on my cell phone mobile web. When the Cowboys made their selection it said "Choice RB Georgia Tech". I had never heard of T. Choice so I kept thinking well who the hell is the "Choice": . I have to admit I like everything I have seen about this guy since the draft. He definitely has the heart for the game.

He plays just like MBIII but with a little more quicks. I watched him play a couple times and he was great.

Anyone who carries the rock full-time in Chan Gailey's offense is ready for the pounding of the NFL. This guy will pay dividends for us, I have no doubt.
