JORDAN ROSS
: What do you think the biggest challenge was for you in transitioning from college to the NFL?

DEVONTE HOLLOMAN: Just learning what it takes to be a pro. It takes a lot more studying and time than people realize. You just don’t know until you’re in that situation.

JORDAN ROSS: Which veterans took you under their wing when you joined the Cowboys, and what did they teach you?

DEVONTE HOLLOMAN: Justin Durant, Sean Lee and Ernie Sims. I’m not gonna go into details, but they showed me little things that helped them when they first got into the league and what helps them now. They helped me a lot.

JORDAN ROSS: Due to injuries, you got an opportunity to start in the season finale. You ended up getting 2 sacks and made some big plays against one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. How much confidence did that give you heading into the offseason?

DEVONTE HOLLOMAN: Man, it gave me great confidence. Now I’m just trying to build off of that and carry it into next season.

I don't know how good Holloman can be int his league......but it says a lot about a guy who is constantly around the football and always making plays.

I like the kid.

You can tell he plays with heart, and is pretty instinctive. Anytime the guy is around the ball you know he has a chance in the league.

He probably plays with more heart than quite a few of his other teammates.

Lot to like about Holloman.

The guy went on a tear in the preseason (yes, I know... preseason) and then we he finally got a chance to start at the of the season had 2 sacks in a huge game against the Eagles.

I can't wait to see his progression this year.

During the final 2 games of the season, DeVonte finally had his chance to show his potential as a starter, recording 17 tackles and 2 sacks against the Commanders and Eagles.
D. Ware's numbers when he was in his prime say "HELLO!"

I think Hollomon is going to be the starting SAM LBer if he can stay healthy. and I could see Wilber coming in when they want to use that LEO spot

I love it that he looked up to Brian Dawkins...despite being an Eagle, I loved watching that guy play and his leadership that he showed...I am hopeful that DH can stay healthy and continue to push for that starting gig...(real) competition breeds success

I think Holloman is going to be good if his neck can hold up. He played reallt well in some big games for us as a rookie. He has been a play maker since he stepped on the field for this team - whether pre-season or critical games late in the year. Nice pick.

Once he learns and get familiar with the system, Holloman will be a great player for us and I do think he will start for Dallas eventually and not due to injury.
