hey, I grew up just a generation away with Atari 5200's football. Those red and blue blocks were the "tops".

I also remember 10 yard fight and Tecmo Bowl...you could not stop Payton in that game.
Ahh, TECMO!

Bo Jackson was unbeatable. On D LT and Lott were fun too!

Shouldn't that be a $5 bill? Anyway, I really like it.

Notice I used the word play. My buddy owned it. I couldn't afford one. :(

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

I figure BP's only good for one and then he's done. I have 5's on there as well as other goodies.

I used to spend hours playing that game...

When the defense lined up correctly, you moved down, up down, up, forward one then to the top and then break like the wind...

I used to love that game! You guys spoiled with xbox, ps2, and madden don't realize how good you have it.

Some friends of mine really got into the electric football sets in the early 1970s.

They had them for several years and repainted their players periodically. Some guys had several layers of paint. They used toothpicks to even paint the names of their favorite players on the backs of the jerseys.

They also would melt wax and drop it on the players' shoulders to make them bigger and heavier. I guess that's the electric football equivalent of cheating with performance-enhancing drugs ... or wax in this case.

One of the guys is about 51 years old now and he has sort of a den, with all his stuff hanging on the walls. I was over there the other day and sure enough, he has that electric football set (the playing field) hanging on his wall.

I used to have mine stored in the garage until my mom threw it out. :banghead: I was so upset with her over that. :laugh2: I had a couple cowboys teams, Denver and I think Cleveland. There were also different bases made for the players, with and without a directional wheel.

Big fun!

We did some of the same things...We repainted our men once a week. To keep our men from falling over we would put 2 pennies on the linemans base with glue and 1 pennie on the skill position players. And by the way CLICK CLACKS, are the two marble like balls on a string that you would hit together to make that click clack noise.....

I loved Electric Football and I had the first ones with "Total Team Control" where you had the little pivot on the bottom with a brush on each side you would brush dwon to exagerate movement
