Execs, coaches, scouts rank top NFL quarterbacks for 2026

Hopefully, more members will offer their thoughts on the question. I watched many games involving both players. It will not be the first time I have said I would choose Joe Montana over Tom Brady without batting an eyelash.

I agree with this and not to mention real football was being played without player protections during Brady’s time

Everyone knows, or should know, that the record of a team is a team stat. The thing is, if anyone mentions Dak, there are maybe one or three that go into epilectic fit because someone mention their man crush. Those are the trolls, and there is one specific one named Rockport.
I just state the facts like the source of the OP which are NFL Execs, coaches and scouts. Not couch potato Zoners like you who are lacking.

joe shoulda been a cowboy.
one of the very best QBs i ever watched in the big moments.
say the same for brady.
the 2 greatest non-cowboys qbs to ever play.
Two of the greatest is without question. That said (and you did not say this of course), Greatest Of All-Time is a term generally and almost universally applied to one guy with the most hardware. I disagree with that application concerning Brady.

In my personal opinion, there's nothing wrong with loving a Top 5 or 6 QB. It's not a guilty pleasure, or a bad thing.

This board wants to make you feel that it's a bad thing to love a Top 5 or 6 QB. He's better than Lamar in my opinion, but he should be below Burrow, Mahomes, Stafford, and Allen.

I agree I would have him at #5 as well due to Lamar’s availability issues.

Yet he consistently rank amongst the leaders of QB’s under pressure. Keep posting. Enjoying the laughs.
He is not talking under pressure as in being sacked or rushed. He is talking about the pressure to perform at your best when your team needs you the most and all the lights are on you. That is when Prescott, to this point in his career, has failed over and over again.

I am sure this year will be the year he gets over it though!

No disagreement here.

I cringe when I hear Brady referred to as the GOAT as if there is no debate.

You just can't compare equally across eras. Brady's Achilles heel was that he would quickly start hearing footsteps if you could get some hits on him. He would have gotten hit a ton more if he played in the 70's and 80's when you could legally lay the QB out after he threw the ball if you were within a step and QB's couldn't throw the ball away.

He also benefitted by playing in an era that allowed smaller slot receivers to cross the middle without getting layed out by guys like Steve Atwater, Ronnie Lott etc. Brady built a career on making guys like Welker, Amendola and Edelman stars because they didn't have to worry about being decapitated.

Brady and the Pats also got lucky quite a bit in so many big games.

Brady deserves a seat at the table of the greatest, no doubt. Unequivocal GOAT though? Nah. There is no such thing.

Brady is the GOAT, mostly because of the hardware but I would choose Montana to be the QB of my team as well.

I guess the rest of the team and the coaches had nothing do do with it. Sheez.

lmao...there is not a QB that I have ever "loved". You girls are so emotional that you will "love" someone you don't even know. I love my cat more than I will ever think about "loving" Dak. How embarrassing.

With all the talent surrounding Dak, he should be higher. Has 2 #1 receivers, a good offensive line, and a running game. I think his playoff failures attribute to the lower ranking
Correct on all points brother.

Dak is definitively slightly better (Top 5). His issue has been the few times he has choked in the playoffs (ie...against the 49ers 2 playoff years 2020-2022). I believe this older version of Dak is smarter, definitively more experienced and finally has the mental fortitude to help carry the team if we make the playoffs once again.

But, are you in "love" with him? That is the question that must be answered. lmao

Common man. You can't do our bro Rockport like that. Lol

btw, if we incessantly say Dak has choked in the playoffs. which is arguable given the defense gave up 5 straight TD drives to Jordan Love.... an average Quarterback by all standards and evaluations, then why is Allen #1 when he came up short against the Chiefs and Broncos 3 years in a row?

All we heard was Bills were winning the Super Bowl with Mahomes, Burrow, and Jackson out of the picture. They don't even make the championship game because Allen fumbles so much. Of course everyone's gonna say "Bills have no weapons forcing Allen to run so much and that's why he fumbles." He had the #1 running back and the 4th overall offense and a defense that while nothing special was way better than the Cowboys.

He's come up a drive short in 3 straight postseasons now LOL Dak did the same from 2016-2022. One drive short against the Rodgers Packers, the Rams, and twice against the 49ers and he gets pasted daily for the last 8 years. All we hear about Allen is his defenders saying he doesn't have that doesn't have this.
