Expand the Playoffs?

Is what is happening this year in the NFC an argument for expanding the playoff format? There are going to be some decent teams on the outside looking in at the end of the year and I just hope we are not one of them. We haven't played all that well up to now, but if we get guys back from injury, we have the potential to make some noise in the playoffs. However, record wise we are the 3rd best team in our division right now (last if you listen to Deion).

Nope. No need to expand them. We don't need to see 8 in there out of the 16 from each conference.

This is why the NFL has the best playoff format in all of sports. You have to earn your spot. Not too many (NBA/NHL) vs not enough (baseball-who cares).

if this was baseball yeah....however football is fine right now....Just cause some times are playing above themselves in the NFC doesn't mean we should change the playoff structure.....AFC always have teams getting left out with a good record....

I just don't like that there can always be a team with a horrible record making the playoffs as long as they win their division.

In the NFL, if you take care of business, you make the play-offs. The Cowboys did not take care of business against Wash. Ariz, and St. Louis - games that they SHOULD have won. If they don't make the playoffs because of those 3 loses, it's their own fault.
