Let's hope our passing contributes more than enough to allow our running game to work against a team that's adept at stopping it. A balanced attack would strike me to be just as necessary as anything, to have a good chance of beating their run defense. Leaning too heavily on our running game seems like playing into the hands of their strength. I hope and pray Kellen knows enough to keep foolishly calling runs, if Tampa keeps plugging them! o_O

Here's what I meant to say. Kellen must know enough to STOP calling runs, if Tampa keeps plugging them . . . o_O
(didn't mean to say he should keep calling runs.) My grievous fault.
A balanced attack should work best, vs., Tampa, imho.
Overdoing the running w/b disastrous.

This is no surprise as that’s what the team has been saying if we’ve been listening.

I know that we never saw the starters play in preseason but behind 2nd and 3rd stringer offensive lines and with 3rd and 4th string running backs they averaged 4.1 YPC. They ran more in preseason than they passed.

Tyler Smith was much better in run blocking than in pass blocking which makes sense because it’s just easier, mentally, run blocking vs pass blocking.

Jake Ferguson loves to run block so he should help the running game. Shultz can hold his own. Not great but not awful.

By leaning on the run early in the season it will give the youngsters on the offensive line and wide receivers to gain some confidence by getting acclimated to the NFL. And also give Gallup and Peters to get ready for the season. Who knows, Peters may never need to play LT but maybe somewhere else on the line. But by relying on the run game early on it gives the coaches a chance to figure it all out.
They need to be balanced because I'm pretty sure the Bucs last year had one of the best run defenses.

They did. I think they are going to be less effective on offense early. No Gronk, Likely no Godwin, No Jansen, No Marpet, No Cappa. Gage is a little bit banged up.

They will still be super effective with Brady, Evans, Fournette etc.

But I see both teams taking a step back offensively early. I don’t think if we don’t run well early we will be down 14 quick. Hopefully I am right about this and they aren’t even more explosive lol

They ain't running against Tampa's DL. Last year a healthy, best shape of my life Zeke, with a much better OL, ran for 33 yards. I know there's magic in the air this year but running the ball won't work... The game was close because of turnovers.

We did not have Martin last year and Collins was about to be suspended. I wouldn’t say much better. Only position that was better was LT and RT is a wash

We're talking about the TB game coming up tomorrow night. What would've I have done in other games? I would've tried the Fumblerooski, or the Statue of Liberty play or the Swinging Gate. Maybe even punt the ball on 1st down. Change it up a bit. Is that what you want me to say, something dumb so you can argue with me? I feel like you just want to argue here.

It's complicated enough that the majority of the members here could never be a head coach in college or the NFL. Or are you like that Risen wannabe, the Cowboy who lives in the mountains who thinks he knows everything?

Buddy, dont need to be a coach to see that our Oline is in shambles or that the Bucs run D is one of the best.

Is Vita Vea playing?

If so, running against TB might be the dumbest strategy.
Especially since Vea will be head up on Biadasz every play. The interior of both OLs is the place to focus on this game...gonna be some *** whoopings.

It’s the best way to beat Dallas. Denver set the blueprint
Yep since week 2 of the 2017 season when Zeke hit the wall vs the Broncos and our offense went MIA!!!

Yeah the Bucs played a sloppy game last year and Dallas got those 4 turnovers. Our supposed top 10 QB led this team to field goals. Lol
