Expectations

This team has an excellent opportunity of winning the Super Bowl this season. So do several other teams. Provide we remain relatively injury free (especially along the offensive line) during the regular season, Dallas will definitely be in hunt for its sixth Lombardi. That's all that any fan of a very good team such as ours could hope for.

If we don't win the Super Bowl it would be a shame, but not a shock. With the way our O line has played (granted its preseason) we may have a tough time making it past the 1st round (and should count ourselves lucky that this may be an off year for the NFCE). It will be interesting, because on many levels, this team does have the talent, unfortunately there are a couple of glarring weaknesses/ un-certainties at a few critical positions.

As long as the injury bug doesn't bite us too hard, I think our defense is going to be a beast. It should be dominating and nasty. I just hope our OL holds up. I'll say this, as long as we're not devastated by injuries and our OL is good (not great), we're going to be hard to beat. We do have a very tough schedule and home field advantage is so big in the playoffs, especially considering teams like Green Bay (huge advantage in January), New Orleans (another huge advantage), and Minnesota (see last year) are also in the hunt. We really need to get home field advantage, at least up until the NFC Championship game.

And he has officially faded. :laugh1:

NFC championship and higher.

Anything else will be a major disappointment.

Ditto, dont worry about playoffs, or superbowl, one game at a time! :starspin

I never really have understood this. I mean, we are not players, does it really matter if a fan does not take it one game at a time?

A: No, it does not, it will have absolutely no affect on the outcoming of the game. If that is how you enjoy the games (not going one game at a time) then go for it, I gurantee you it will not in any way affect the outcome. The "one game at a time" is thrown around way too much.

Remember the Steelers run at the Super Bowl a couple of years ago? Their offensive line was very inconsistent. I'll go on record and say that our O-line, if healthy, is a much better O-line than the one they fielded in 2008-09.

They had the defense that year. We should this year. They had a QB who improvised and got very lucky. We already have that in Tony Romo. Just hope Romo runs into a little luck himself.

In some ways we mirror that Steelers team.

Super Bowl if we can get home field advantage in the playoffs and have a week off like the Vikings did before they played us.

I'm very ready to see if Dez can add some octane to the Offense. And, I'm hoping our O-line can do their job.

Actually I think we're more talented than that Steeler team. We just need a little luck like they got.

It's the Dallas Cowboys... Don't ever lower your Superbowl expectations.

I'm going to agree with ya. We are loaded with talent. We just need some of our backups to be ready to step in without much drop off if the worst does happen.

Improve game by game......Peak in Dec for a strong playoff run

I'm going to be bold.

I predict we will run sometimes but when we don't run we will probably pass some. Win some games. Probably lose some games as well.

I see you've decided to go out on a limb there. :D

I have a feeling that I will be the most correct on here. Even though I went so far out there for it. :D

Perhaps we'll develop a new type of offensive attack -- one that combines the pass and run.

We'll call it "the pun"!

I'm not too sure if that will fit in the rules of Mr.Goodells NFL.

I'll think about claiming that idea as my own though. ;)

I strive for the playoffs every year. And I strive to win the Super Bowl. For me to be happy getting to the playoffs is sufficient.
