Man that's an awesome jersey you've got

Thanks for sharing your experience!
Funny thing was, many people commented on it, thinking I was wearing an Andrew Luck jersey..hahahahaha. I was shocked how many fans didn't know who Staubach was... :omg:

... But I do get your sentiment about the Cowboys stadium. Sometimes it feels more like an experience than a football game. I like the fully outdoor stadiums, you really can't beat the college football stadium atmosphere.
Exactly..!

Glad you had a good time.

I have been to Jerry's World and Wash. Stadium and wouldn't return to Northwest for a game; it's a dump, in my opinion.

I had an opportunity to attend a game at the club section this year and turned it down.

But to each his/her own.

Been to AT&T about a dozen times.
Also been to Lambeau.

I would take AT&T 100 times out of a 100 over Lambeau.
Lambeau quite frankly sucks with the cheap bleachers.
I don't get food/drink while I'm at the game, so I'm not concerned about how much $ I would waste elsewhere. It's all about the game for me.
Interesting. I wouldn't expect Lambeau to be comfortable due to its age and all, but I would've expected it to be a great game day experience. It's still on my list to visit along with the Superdome in New Orleans or whatever they call it now.

For me, RFK was the best ever. Baltimore a close 2nd. Philly and AT&T were the worst.

One of my worst stadium experiences came at this stadium. It was a December battle between Romo and RG III. The fans especially the ones sitting behind me were horrible. I was wearing my Witten Jersey and I got kicked in the back right on the Witten name. I knew it was deliberate. There was a lot of swearing. I thought human beings were supposed to be more civilized than animals, but I was proved wrong at this stadium. I left at half time never to return to watch a live game ever again.

Thats how Philly was when I went to a game there. Fans just obnoxious, throwing things at folks and carrying on. Fights all over the place.

Glad the OP had a great time with his son. I’ve been to one game in RFK, Skins we’re 11-0 and we beat them, and been to 3 or 4 at Fed EX. I attended them all with a good friend who is a Skins fan and we won them all and I had a lot of drunk skins fans talking smack at all of them. The stadium is nothing special, actually I was there a few years ago when WVU played VT and the stadium isn’t in great shape.

Nice post glad you enjoyed the experience with your son.
I have been lucky enough to travel over from across the pond to games at AT&T, texas stadium & Lambeau. Facilities wise Jerry's cash dome wins it, game experience it's lambeau for me especially being a cowboys fan among a jungle of packers. The atmosphere was better, the stadium is iconic & the surrounding bars were buzzing both game night & the night before. Over here of course I saw the Cowboys at our own Wembley stadium, actually not a bad experience however have to say the new Tottenham stadium was built with hosting NFL games in mind & the shape, closeness of the stands to the pitch make for a loud atmosphere, they even have the big screens & elecyronic displays circling around each level displaying down & yards to go etc. It's an NFL stadium in England. I saw the bills v jags game last year & couldn't believe how much of an NFL stadium it looked they've done a great job. The Bills are actually using the same architecture & modelling their new stadium on the Tottenham one with a few differences. Ps beer prices over there inside the stadiums make ours at soccer look like giveaways & i thought we had it bad!

To each his own.
From the moment you are within 6 blocks of the stadium, to stepping into the parking lot, to sitting down on bleachers, Lambeau is all about the game experience. Every single person there is 100% into the game. I do not get that feeling from AT&T at all.

With the new ownership for the Commandos they will be getting a new stadium in probably 3-4 years. It looks like it will be on the same concrete slab as RFK is today. I have mixed feelings about AT&T but I have to say I was able to cross off my bucket list attending a Turkey Day game. That was a lot of fun and we beat the Giants a couple of years ago. They had a Thanksgiving meal (good size portions) available for purchase but I didn't ask how much...Downside was that we watched mostly on the video board since we were in the upper level-second row. And of course the Boys didn't cover so there's that.

Eh, it just seemed like any other stadium to me, outside of the bleacher nonsense.
Being able to park in a nearby neighborhood and having a short walk was nice, but that's about the only positive I can give it.
I don't get the hype about Arrowhead either, and I've been there more than a handful of times.
Never felt any of them were louder than AT&T either (though at AT&T they don't always understand WHEN to be loud).

Wow. What a game. Haven't seen a finish like that in awhile. First game I've attended at Northwest Stadium. Last game I went to @ Washington was in RFK Stadium over 40 years ago. I went with my 25 yr old son. We were both wearing Cowboys jerseys. He was sporting a Micah Parsons, I was wearing a throwback Staubach. I wanted to share my opinion on the overall experience.

For context, I've been to a number of stadiums in my lifetime seeing at least one game in every decade going back to the 70's. One of my favorites was a trip I made in 2008 with one of my sons to finally see a game at Texas Stadium. That experience was off the charts, probably for the nostalgia, and walking through the house Landry built. When Jerryworld opened in 2009 I was a season ticket holder (lower bowl). I would fly or drive to a couple games a year, and sell the rest. It usually worked out well in my favor. That got old pretty quick as I'm a working stiff, and not wealthy by any stretch. I gave em up after 4 years.

At the time, AT&T stadium was the coolest stadium I'd ever been to. It was for lack of a better word, comfortable. Seat were better than most. Televisions everywhere. The bathrooms were laid out well, and even had tv's in there..lol. Concessions were close, there were tables abound, and it was easy to partake in well overpriced food/beverages. I thought the amenities were top notch. However, the viewing experience wasn't as good as Texas Stadium in my opinion. Most games I attended I found myself watching the game on the jumbotron rather than live action with direct eye contact. It was the only way to really see what was going on well. After a number of times, and adding up the $$ it just didn't feel worth the experience. I mean it was pretty much $1,000/pop minimum to take in, and I felt I could see/enjoy the game better at home in my own living room.

Yesterday was a totally different experience. I was in section 120, row 18. The view was amazing. We were behind the Cowboys bench and could see the entire field well. I found myself watching live action every play, and only viewing one of big screen to see the replays. The Vibe was good, then again I suppose anytime you have a strong presence at a rivals stadium is good...lol. We were in a pocket of Cowboys fans, and really enjoyed all of it. The food was good, though insanely priced. $18 for a beer..? Wow. Shows how long it's been since I've been to a game.

I'm going to go ahead and say it. I enjoyed watching the game better in Washington's stadium than I have any game in Jerry's stadium. The game itself. It felt more like a college or high school setting everybody was happy to be there, and really having a good time. The banter with Washington fans was friendly, and respectful both inside, and outside the stadium. I feel like Jerry's stadium was more comfortable, and had more bells and whistles obviously, but Washington's designers put this stadium together for blue collar fans to enjoy the experience, and they delivered in my opinion.

I wouldn't spend the money to go to a game at AT&T again. It's not worth the experience. I will definitely go to another game of ours at Washington.

Now. Having said that, it just came full circle to me about the differences in overall mentality between the owner we have, and others. Jerry's whole organization is about the shiny stuff. The amenities. The unnecessary fluff. The extravagance. The white collar experience. The teams doing better than us, have been built around substance. It even comes across in their stadium experiences.

The Commanders fans are great! I’ve been a couple of times and was treated like a friend. The stadium is a dump!

I don't disagree that the stadium is a dump. My point or emphasis was, that the game viewing experience is pretty good. The facility is definitely dated, and nothing impressive. Forget all the comforts (or lack of), the actual viewing of the game action was top notch. Everytime I've been at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, I have found myself watching most of the action on the jumbotron.
