if we win this game at GB i think it says a lot about our coaching staff and takes away any concerns i have that they will struggle down the line. these types of games after a emotional tough game show everything you need to know about your team and how tough and prepared they are!

I cannot say I fault them for their logic. The Cowboys played a very high emotional game on Monday night. It is going to be tough to win there. Dallas just might be totally spent on emotion.

This happened in 1991. The Cowboys endured a wild Monday Night game against the Commanders. Emmit had his 75-yard run (breaking a kazillion tackles), and Jay Novachek was all over the place. Dallas would lose this game to Washington 33-31.

The following week, the Eagles would come in and destroy the Cowboys 24-0. The Cowboys would only amass 90 yards of total offense as Gang Green would tally 11 sacks! Dallas was flatter than a plate of pee that day.

Now I am not saying that this version of the Cowboys is only going to get 90 yards of offense. However, they may not be as productive as we have seen then the past few weeks.

Five minutes into Sunday Night's game, we should be able to tell if this team is ready to play.

I remember that Mon night game against the Skins-we ended up beating ourselves. Otherwise, we pretty much controlled the LOS on both sides of the ball, only to let it get away when Daniel Stubbs committed a boneheaded PF on Mark Rypien in the 4th on 3rd down. The momentum of that game just swang in a hurry. From that game on, Stubbs went into Jimmy's doghouse.

As for the 24-0 thumping to the Eagles the following week, it had alot more to do with our youth and inexperience(we were a VERY young team at the time). The OL had yet to gel, and we were in yr 1 of Norv Turner's offensive system. Remember later in that year, we went into The Vet and the results were far different(we all but neutralized Philly's pass rush this time).

As for being emotionally gassed going into this Packers game, I have to agree. This NFCE matchup itself was emotionally draining, even from a fan's perspective, and the Pack came off a pretty easy win against an inferior opponent the week prior. So if anything, they're more rested than we are.

All legitimate concerns, but I don't necessarily need the 'experts' to point them out.

An emotional and physical letdown is always a concern...hopefully they can overcome.

A win in GB would say alot more about this team than a loss.
That last line is so true.

This game reminds me of the game at Chicago last year. They were fresh off a Super Bowl appearance and it was supposed to be a big test for Dallas on the road. Well, the Cowboys rolled over Chicago like nobody's business. Now we play the Packers in their house coming off a NFC Championship apperance and and 2-0 start. The experts are picking them to beat us. I'm not saying we will crush them, but the Cowboys are a tried and true team already. They've excelled in big games over the last couple of years - the Colts game a couple of years ago, both regular season NYG games last year, at Philly last year and the past MNF game against them, at Chicago last year, at home against Green Bay last year and they didn't embarass themselves against New England either. They haven't fared well in the postseason, but they've only had two chances. This is becoming a team capable of succeeding in the big game at home and on the road. We were 7-1 on the road last year. This game should be very interesting.

Alot of the so called experts have Dallas losing to GreenBay. They are saying that Dallas will have a downer after a tough win against the Eagles.

Some are questioning how good Dallas' defense really is after being torched by nobody WR's.

They also feel that Dallas whom is 0-5 in GreenBay will have a hard time with the croud noise.

They were saying that if they had trouble covering the no-name Eagle WR's, they will be in for a long day with Gennings, Driver and Jones.

I'm confused. What no name receivers did we have trouble covering? McNabb completed 25 passes Monday night. Of those 25, 15 were caught between Jackson, Westbrook, and Smith. Two are vets in the offense for the Eagles and one maybe a rookie, but looks to be the real deal. What no name nobody WR's torched us? The best thing they can use is Jackson.

Accu-score also has the Cowboys losing.

IMO, the good teams find a way to win back-to-back tough games. I think this could be another shot-out but talent-wise, I think the Cowboys are a little better and deeper. We will see.

I am very worried about this game, I was so spent after that Philly game that I lost my voice and couldnt talk very good for about 3 hours. I was so into the game on that last drive that I was sweating bullets and my heart was racing.

Very hard to get that same level of intensity on a short week and traveling. Plus, I dont think we have ever won in Lambeau before.

I am hoping and praying for a W, but I would not be shocked if we get beat. Really doesnt matter all that much if we do lose, I highly doubt we are going undefeated this year and divisional games are the games that really matter anyways.

One of the tie breakers for home field is W & L in conference play.....a W could be big.

Looks like vegas has us at -3. I'd be tempted to take that bet. I normally trust the lines makers more than the talking heads at ESPN.

That would be wonderful.....unless we have the dreaded Monday Night hangover we should win.;):)

Meh-there's still a LONG way to go, really. Even if GB wins this game, even at 3-0, nothing is guaranteed for them, or anyone else.

A W is GREAT, but especially considering that the first 3 weeks of our schedule has been brutal, 2-1 is good enough for me.

I think this team will take care of business Sunday night just like they did against the Eagles in 2007 when we rolled into Philly. We play better on the road anyway then we do at home cause we are more focused, etc.

Ummmmmmm! They were with-out there starters Brown and Curtis. Westbrook isn't a WR, he doesn't count as a WR.

Our D was getting beat by the Hank Baskett, Desean Jackson and Jason Avant's of the world. Not good!

With all the talk our Dallas is an undisciplined team, the Packers are pretty undisciplined themselves.

Last year, they were among the league leaders in penalties committed. It seemed like it was b/c they were one of the youngest teams in the league. However-it seems to be the same this year with them and penalties. In that wk1 meeting against the Vikings, they had alot of them, including 1 or 2 that negated scores.

And this is a surprise b/c unlike Wade, McCarthy is hardly a players coach.

While I agree with you, I wouldn't count Brown. He's with the team for the same reason Roy is with us-he signed a big contract 2 years ago, so if they cut him now, they'll absorb a big cap hit. So yeah-this is probably why he's still starting. Otherwise, he stinks.

With that being said-even if their WRs were the FredEx's of this world, it's only week 2. There's no reason to panic. We're running a marathon, not a 50 yard dash.

I have the Cowboys losing a close one. Of course, I'm rooting for them to win. But so what if someone thinks the Cowboys may lose. It won't be the end of the world.

I just think the Cowboys may be spent after Monday Night. We'll see, though.

I have to admit my main concern is the fatigue ( mentally and physically) after Monday Nights game. Then again if you think about it most of our key players are fairly young...and younguns have a way of bouncing back quickly.;)
