These are the sounds of an ignorant Skins fan being bludgeoned to death with facts.

True, but they did it with smoke and mirrors. This is not a very good team.

Maybe not smoke and mirrors exactly, but they did get shot in the *** with good luck in the injury department...

Before the start of the season, I said the Skins would go 8-8 at best, and I specifically mentioned a lack of depth as the problem... the best example of that, I argued, was their offensive line; their starting 5 were just fine, but things fell off rather dramatically after them... I said they'd be a good offense just as long as that line was able to remain intact, but that offensive struggles would follow after one or two injuries...

And lo and behold, until Randy Thomas broke his leg near the end of the season, the Skins' offensive line remained intact, and the offense was effective... once he went down, well, let's just say that the Skins gained like 415 yards total in 2 playoff games, Portis had 53 yards on 16 carries, and they averaged 13.5 points per game... the announcers were laughing at how lost Cory Raymer was when he had to come in at offensive guard in the second half (when Ray Brown had those cramps)...

When healthy, the Skins have enough talent to win... but they have little to no depth at most positions, and barring another season of good fortune like this last one for them, I expect them to regress a bit next year (since I don't see any huge injection of fresh talent in free agency or the draft for them this coming offseason)...

Well, it's pretty much the same sound that all these Skins trolls make when they run their traps.

jeez, imagine if we either lost our last game of the year to the awful Rams...showing no heart or fight.

and/or winning the division, then getting shut out at home.

If Washington did either of those, they'd really suck!

But since they didn't......they only medium suck.

Gratz on a good season, Wheat. Your guys gelled nicely down the stretch.

But I still find assumptions that the Skins were the clear cut best in the East to be far fetched, and I have trouble seeing how they are in any better position to improve next season then anyone else in the division. In fact they look to be in a worse position, depending on your opinion of Campbell.

Facts are facts, fella.

It is the Valley Ranch's job to make sure it doesn't happen next year. Fact is, they blew it again. Get over it. Those 14/15 are ancient history as far as I am concerned.

Maybe if BP wasn't such an arse he'd be able to recruit some top-notch assistants to his staff instead of the riff-raff that are coaching the Boys.

Technically, because your season is over now, the sweep is in the past. If you don't wanna hear about 14 out of 15, then the sweep is old news too.

Well, this season is not yet over so it is a bit fresher in the mind.

Nevertheless, your fundamental point is right.

Valley Ranch needs to improve this team considerably - that means players and coaches. I'm eagerly awaiting the results. With a decent offseason, we should be back in the playoffs next year. The first step in a good offseason would be canning Sprano's arse and bringing in a real NFL-caliber OL coach.

This is a wonderful day. The pitiful deadskins had their only chance to win a Super Bowl and failed. I feel real sorry for these low class losers next year and for years to come.

The Cowboys are on the rise except for QB. Our off season is going to be the best off season in the history of the NFL. Next year we are going to roll thru the NFC and not just the NFC east. Each one of these sorry teams left in the NFC right now, we could have crushed. I can't believe we were a field goal kicker away from possibly going to the Super Bowl with this OLINE we have, and still 4 players away on defense.

Let me repeat that, we were a kicker away from possibly going to the Super Bowl with the squad we have now. Now imagine this off season when we add all of our missing parts, we will storm the NFC including the worst franchise and the most stupid , ugly fans in the history of sports (the nastington deadskins) and they will be bowing down to Americas Team. Book it!

Didn't say we didn't suck. Just that the skins suck and proved they are a bunh of smoke and mirror kind of guys.

They were one of the hottest teams the last 5-6 games of the season. They deserve better credit than you're giving them. They don't/didn't "suck."
