Extension for McCarthy?

McCarthy produced (3) straight 12-5 regular season wins. He is not the worse HC in the NFL, but like Dak, he (Mike) does NOT give you much upside /difference maker.
The Jones didn't give Mike the extension after (3) 12 wins seasons, you would think he wouldn't get an extension after a 7-8 win season. But then you throw in
Prescott. Dak has as many playoff wins as Mike and like his HC, Dak is not a difference maker but that didn't matter. The Jones threw record breaking $$$$ at this
nice QB when playing teams UNDER .500 and vanishes vs the better teams.

Extension? He should have been fired after GB. There are so many things he is bad at. I NEVER feel like the Cowboys outcoach anyone and he is the reason they ever win. He has accomplished what he was hired for.

No the Cowboys need new direction. New leadership. Someone who can lead them into the playoffs and win. McCarthy is not that coach and has proven it the last 5 years. Not only is it time to move on, it's past time to move on.

Dak most certainly does not have as many playoff wins as McCarthy.

Mike sucks, but he's been better at being a head coach in the NFL than Dak has at being a QB.

Jerry will take the easy road and try to extend MM and try and sell the injury bug and what a great job he did. It’s sad and pathetic but that’s Jerry especially when he has the perfect yes man in place. He’s blind to all the poor coaching, penalty prone teams, time mismanagement and pathetic offensive. If MM was any type of self respecting man he’d walk away. I think it’s 3 more years of excuses, losing when it matters and Jerry doing nothing, it’s Jerry’s MO, everything that was said about lazy Mike in GB has amplified in Dallas but Jerry just doesn’t seem to get it

Mike's a free agent and can go anywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an offer elsewhere that he takes it.

Jones' would deserve it if they wanted him back and he left anyway. I don't care if he stays or goes, but it would be funny.

I personally do NOT think MM has done enough to be retained as coach. He was hired to make a deep playoff run. He has not. But I certainly do not trust the FO to hire a new coach. Indeed, I shudder at the thought of the Jones boys choosing a coach. IMO this is just one big sad mess. And it could get worse.

I was never a fan of McCarthy. My buddy is a season ticket holder for packers and the fans loathed him. He told me when we signed him you’ll get 12-13 wins be s top seed and lose consistently.

He was right. After that packers playoff game, he should have been fired. Lost the locker room snd they were not prepared.
