I have a neighbor that is one of those guys that cannot sit still. He mows his yard and his inlaws yard a couple times a week weather permitting and even during the fall and winter if it happens to be warmer on said days.
He is also a kind of jack of all trades that will take on some projects for people such as making a deck, doing some plumbing and other stuff around the house although he is not licensed for any of it. When he needs help he normally will have his brother help him.

Last summer his brother was injured for a short time. So he asked me if I wanted to help. I told him my knowledge is limited in those areas although I can fix some water leaks since I have had so many.

He got a job plumbing an older house. Run new lines, put in a new toilet, new hotwater tank that was out in a building.

I helped him mostly just preparing, pre cutting and setting up the pipes. He said just helping him with the pipes while he was under the house was a good bit of help. He gave me a few hundred dollars which meant he made a lot more lol.

Later he started advertising pressure washing houses. He had his own equipment. He asked if I would help if he got some jobs. I said sure.

We went out and he gave someone an estimate that I though was WAY too much. He never heard back from them lol.

Point being...maybe if you have a friend or neighbor that does odd jobs here and there that might need a little help...you might try helping them for a fee.

Some times just preparing and cutting pipes and handing them to someone under the house can make a big difference compared to doing it yourself.

Ya, that water re-piping was a pretty good side gig, especially after that cpvc piping was approved, I'd run a pair of glued together lengths with one of them spray painted with splotches of red about every 3or 4 feet (hot water feed) down under the side of the home that had the most water feeds to it ,poke straightened out clothes hangers down thru the floor from the inside then with my red handled squeeze cutters & a bag of t-ee's,90° elbows ,egg yolk looking colored glue, cordless drill, strapping plumbers tape& a couple of sticks of pipe and stay under the house,as that was the easiest way I'd figured out how to do them buy myself,,, that crawling in & out from under a house will wear you down after awhile.

When I was younger I used to be a bouncer. The best part of being a bouncer was the women wanted to be friends with the bouncers so it had its perks. Plus, that's when I started getting free drinks that lasted long after I quit being a bouncer. After I stopped working for this HVAC company, I did side jobs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. I also used to fix computers on the side as well.

Where were you gonna hide it? ;)
One pretty good way is to cut a circular opening into the bottom a 20lb propane cylinder within the confines of its footring ,with a cross member that's threaded for the bolt that's ran thru the middle mounted inside the tank, run inner tube rubber gaskets where it's air and pressure tight, then pressure it back up with propane vapor,,,the reason I know about this smuggling 'trick' is because one of those cylinders escaped into the general population of every day life , and some teenage gal working at a gas station with an LP dispenser was filling it ,till the building tank pressure blew the bottom trap door of it out& it shot straight up like a Saturn 5 rocket launch, killing her in the processo_O
