EXTREMESKINS: 5 Reasons why the Cowboys are hated

sbuscha said:
#1 reason: COWBOYS HAVE OWNED THEM FOR 9+ YEARS!!!!!

Irrelevant.

They beat us on a fluke TD this year.

That erases nearly a decade of dominance.

Get with the program.

In that case, I love the Lions. Detroit has a pretty nice airport.
Man, I'm so gald someone finally showed me a reasonable way to pick sports franchises to support.

I'm not a world traveller, but the worst airport is Dulles. No tram system ... they use freakin buses. ***??

If it weren't for a group of screaming Puerto Ricans, my wife and I would have missed our connection to Orlando this past winter.

Don't they play the Rams this week?

Those idiots are so obsessed with one team and one team only and they wonder why they haven't won in 4 weeks.

Part of the reason for their hatred for the Cowboys is the dividing line within their own city. The Commanders were the last team to allow black players onto their squad. Their owner, some racist named Marshall, held out until the last moment.

So for all those years, african american football fans in DC despised the Commanders for what they stood for ... and thus gave their allegiances to the Dallas Cowboys.

To this day, there's a LARGE contigent of older african american men who have yet to forgive Marshall and the Commanders ... and continue to taunt them with the glory of the Cowboys as much as they could.

So basically, the Commander fans NEVER hear the end of it ... and all year long, it's COWBOYS, COWBOYS, COWBOYS, whether from tv or from their own citizenry.

I love it!!!

I guess that guy has never heard of a tram system. I have been through DFW many many times and have never had to run from one end to the other.

Maybe this guy was too stupid to read the signs. Maybe he went left and walked all that way for nothing to make a complete circle (not that it goes in a circle), when all he had to do is turn right and go to the next gate about 25 feet away :D

DFW is one of the better airports, is was extremely well put together and planned. They just opened the new terminal D, just flew back into it last week. I was off the plane, to the baggage claim, and in a taxi in less than 10 minutes. At my house in another 10 minutes.

And it never smells there, very clean.

Chicago O'Hare. You are guarenteed to miss your next flight because of those idiots. Every time I have had to go through there I had major problems. It is hard to believe how many stupid people they can pack into that one airport. It is hard to believe that people that stupid can even reproduce.
One time on a flight to Turkey on business I was running through the airport like O. J. simpson (except I did not kill anybody) to make my next flight. Then all of the planes idled around the airport in single file for 5 hours while they had one plane at a time take off. The weather was beautiful that day but the stupid people were in charge. Coming home is worse, they make everyone exit the plane, go through security and then back through security again to get on your next flight. Guarenteed missed next flight everytime. Now maybe it is just me but I think if the stupid people are worried about terrorists they may want to check BEFORE they get on the plane and not when they exit. But hey that is just my opinion.

DFW is one of the best airports I have been in around the world. Curly

I hate DFW!! As a frequent business traveler I try to avoid DFW at all cost. Every time I have gone through there I get cancelled flights, long delays. In short something ALWAYS goes wrong! Maybe it is just my bad luck but unless I'm going to Dallas. I try to avoid DFW for connecting flights.

I had stop at the Dallas airport once on route to Boston. Flight got delayed because of snow, my group (10-15 people) were all comp'ed $30 gift certficates to a local restaurant and a free hotel.

I didn't think it was bad at all :)
Not to mention that could be the SINGLE DUMBEST reason I've ever seen in my life to dislike a sports team. The airport in the same town ? If you can't find anything better than that, chances are you secretly like the team.

My favorites

"Dallas airport.. If any of you have been through this ****hole, first of all, let me offer you my condolences, second of all let me advise you to never book any flight that has to stop at that giant port-a-poty. Besides having to run from one terminal to the other which is always from one end of the airport to other (covering at least 2 miles), the trash heap smells like a Men's bathroom after a concert."

Not trying to start a fire, but I never really understand why people post things from other sites but anyway, I will bite.

I live right smack next door to DFW and I go there alot and all the nonsense he said is pretty stupid.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's about 5 minutes from one end to the other of the Dallas airport even if you just missed the tram.

Houston (George Bush Int.) is a different story.

here are the real 5 reasons:

This weekend I noticed at least half a dozen threads dedicated to the Cowboys, past and present, on their board, and several of them about the game on Dec 18. It's as tho the next two weeks they have byes...while we're looking at what's at hand, they are obsessing about our rematch.

Nothing could be, imo, a stronger indication that despite their congenital over-valuation of their team, they fully realize their season is over.

There was one funny post tho in the thread about preferring the Boys or Jints today, by a guy saying he'd rather have us win, because they'd still have the tie-breaker over us if they 'ran the table'.

The amount of kool-aid one has to consume just thinking about running any tables when your team has lost six of the last eight would fill the Grand Canyon. Tho I haven't posted there since a short ban 15 months ago, I had to get my two cents in about that one. :)
