Ezeiruaku continues to expose Abdul Carter

PFF has him as the better rookie over Carter through week 9 too

People who like to scout off a stat sheet will see EZ's two sacks and assume he hasn't been getting to the QB.

It's been the opposite. He's been generating consistent pressure and he's been getting better and better every week. Now with Quinnen Williams next to him he might take an even bigger step forward.

A 15.7 percent pressure rate is elite. I think the league average is somewhere around 10-12 percent.

It's hard to succeed as a rookie, especially at some positions. We act like it's the norm just because some do.
For sure. Just crazy to see the "top" edge from the draft struggle. He was supposed to be NFL ready day 1.

If you believe the stories coming out post-draft from the Cowboys, defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton was pounding the table for Ezeiruaku with the 12th overall pick in the 1st round.

That would not have gone over much better than the Booker pick. But putting EZ's stat line next to Carter, who was taken 3rd overall, kind of vindicates Whitecotton.

Donavan is holding his own and outperforming most all first round picks. Hopefully it holds up. If he was a better tackler, he would have more sacks and TFLs.
