Just watched NFL Live and the three commentators believe that E. Elliot is very similar to rashard mendenhall. If thats the case is he worth the 4th pick?

The also said Jordan Howard is the most powerful runningback in this years draft. He graded out at 74 ( same as demarco murray), but they said his agility and power was better than murray.

Funny, I was just watching Howard last night and thinking how he reminded me of Murray.

Disagree on the Mendenhall comparison

Don't see Mendenhall, I do see Willis McGahee before the injury pre-draft. Wouldn't have drafted him four overall and I wouldn't Elliott either.

Hodge didn't agree but he did say zone favorite derrick henry won't be that good. Smart man as always

I would take Elliott in a heartbeat if we didn't have so many other needs. I think he could be a great player but with the holes we have and needing a future QB I don't think we can afford the luxury pick when there are other guys who may not be as complete of players but comparable runners we could get later

Is he worth the 4th pick? No and never has been.

Jordan Howard is a good example of a back we can pick up later. Use the 4 on a impact player on D or trade down.

Laughable.EE is the best all round Back we have seen in a while .Gurley is a better runner but i think EE will is a better all-rounder.

Gurley was just as good, if not better, catching the ball than Elliott.

Calling Elliott a luxury pick is odd?
For all the reason posted about the running game.
We certainly have other needs but keeping the defense off the field
is a luxury the Cowboys could afford. Now, I have changed my mind about Elliott
because of his partying ways @OS but calling him a luxury is football odd.

If you are gonna play smashmouth football and impose your will on defenses, a top RB is not a luxury, but a necessity.

This is true. Kids understands and studies. He's very much like an offensive Sean Lee mentally. There are lots of players like that but very few who perform like Elliott

He is better than that. Just not number 4 pick in the draft better.

Is he #7 good enough? Or #9?

Several top 10 guys will fail. Zeke seems a real solid bet. Don't get hung up on what you think his value should be

Needs to be Adrian Peterson pre knee surgery at 4. He isnt. 10-15 maybe. RB is a devalued position these days.

There is no other player that will improve the Cowboys more than Elliott .
I would take him at 4 and laugh in your faces when the victories started rolling in.
I am rarely wrong in my player evaluation and Elliott is that good.

LOL.

I always trust the Internet poster who claims he's rarely wrong.

Devalued for longevity. If you've got an admitted short window you should be all in on such an outstanding prospect. You don't see NFL-ready guys like this very often. Polished runner, receiver, and blocker? That's a really developed player

1000 bucks says Elliott has a pro bowl season no matter who drafts him. I have a PayPal account. Set one up and make the bet.
