News: Ezekiel Elliott: I have a lot to prove

Only cause you disagree with it bro, I the truth he can lead the league in every category and those who dislike him will find a reason to complain
No bro lol

1. You did use the Oline as an excuse, along with 50,000 other excuses. If your defense is that he isn't as great because he only has a top 5 rushing OL, then you need to find a different stance bro lol.
2. If you think Zeke detractors give a single **** about total rushing yards you haven't been following the argument at all lol. Literally you could not have used a worse example if you tried lmao.

It is funny to me that you thought you made a good point though haha.

Was good enough to get you to respond i guess but meh. Point is no matter what he does he wont be good enough for alot of Cowboy fans here

He's got nothing to prove to me. I'm convinced he is a top tier RB, just needs to do more of the same for the next decade.

And by the way if you check out the original post I responded to, you will see they used the online as a reason his numbers should be better and I replied with the online hasn't been as good as his first year! Lol

At least you can take solice in that your post was so wrong people disagreed with it? I guess that's your angle here, now? Lol! Proud of you.

Point is we've said Zeke's rookie performance was strong. Nobody had any issue with it because he was an elite RB. He hasn't been elite for three seasons now even though he's being paid as an elite back, and y'all are cool with being average in most facets.

A few of these people making excuses need to go back and watch tape of Barry Sanders. Barry NEVER had a decent o'line to run behind and had to work his tail off to get what he could. Zeke will never come close to a Barry Sanders type of RB. He doesn't have the same passion or desire and will never have it.

I've had the fortune of watching some great RB's in my time - Dorsett, Campbell, Payton, Dickerson, Sanders, and Emmitt. Zeke isn't in the same league with any of them and it isn't even close.

Maybe you and your type of poster should go back and see that Barry had 2 all pro OL before he was drafted, and they used a high draft pick on another OL that became one. So 3 all pro / pro bowl type OL.
Oh, yeah, Emmitt, Nate newton said they were no body then became pro bowl OL after Emmitt got there.
And I do not want Zeke to become a Barry type RB, as he had way too many lost yardage runs.

Dude, shut the hell up and ball out...

I want him to exceed his rookie physical skills, and why shouldn't he? He should be in his "prime" now...

IF he'd only get a decent haircut, like in his rookie year, everything else would magically fall into place...

He was asked the questions, it was not like he was just yapping, like DLaw does.

So what would make him elite in your eyes

Lol man what does he need to do to be as good as he thinks he is
Start by being top 5 in several independent RB statistical categories (yards after contact, forced missed tackles, yards from scrimmage, yards after catch, elusiveness, broken tackles and short yardage situations).

Yay! He got the most yards solely because he got the most carries behind one of the best run blocking lines in the league. When comparing RB’s to each other, as in who’s is better, total yards is about as insignificant as TD’s because they’re both mainly reliant on play calling.

It has nothing to do with eyes, quite the contrary. The eye test is what people like you use to defend him because the actual stats (facts) say he isn’t all that.

IMOF, a lot of people see this and have called him out on it which is why he “demanded respect”. How pathetic is that?

I love how he told people to do their homework and to check the stats because “they don’t lie” when he has no idea why he doesn’t get the respect he thinks he deserves...because he isn’t even aware of how many statistical categories he falls short in. I would love to have a live interview with zeke and publicly school him on his own stats because if he actually knew them he would know why people call him out. Just like his fan boys all he knows is total yards.

There's likely no doubt but what Zeke could have benefitted from participating in TC last year. Nevertheless, he only has himself to blame for that being the case. Let's see if he's able to make amends for his slight swoon last year and going forward, make the most of his availability in TC this year!

That was business and I don't think that he regrets that at all.

I'm quite sure of that as well or he wouldn't have held out to start with.

What Zeke maybe does regret is that so many fans seem to regret it.

The fact that he's saying he has a lot to prove is a fair indication of it.

Not using the online as an excuse it's just facts. This guy can have 1450 yes 15 TD and 500 recieving yards and people will complain cause he didnt get to 1500 yards rushing, it's just funny to me
he has good stats, but your comparing him to other RB's who were not a top of round 1 draft pick. Also the other RB's are not demanding top pay.
Most play for far less.

Expectations for a guy picked at # 4 in round 1 and now the highest paid RB ever, are much higher than just about all other RB's .
Can you not understand that??

Also back when 1000 yd season was considered to be a great season for a RB, there were only 10 games I think, later it was 12 games.
Now they still use that same standard as a good season, which is flawed because there are 16 games now.
So originally a avg of 100 yds per game said you were a top RB. That would mean that today 1600 yds is what a great/ elite RB should get
per season.
Now since some RB's also are used heavily in passing game that has to be factored in too , as far as evaluating them, but
for a rushing back, then 1600 yds is what they need to be considered elite rusher.

OJ got 2003 yds in a 14 game season, think about that. Jim Brown did a 1600 yd season in 12 game season I think.

Really? Not allowed to have a down game or you are gonna bash him, eh?
That would depend on what game and why.
If it was end of season and win and your in game like phil last year, and he has a "down " game, are you ok with that??
