I really don't see any that i would be interested in....

I would rather go with rookies and say to hell with it...

Maybe Cortland(for his physical style, not so much coverage)

Well he was ranked number 3 corner according to pff this year so his coverage is pretty dang good

Finnegan seems to have some issues and idk if jg would be happy picking him up. But if we did lets say go after him. Then we would have alot more of room to maneuver in the draft.

but I don't want a guy on my team that got 'b' slapped by andre johnson....he's a punk.

yeah i was saying he would be the only guy i would even consider...the rest, not so much.

I would love to get T. Thomas from the Giants. He was a stud CB and an excellent tackler before his knee injury. Considering the injury was in the pre-season I would expect he would be at full strength this season. We might be able to get him a little cheaper due to the injury as well. Plus, he is still young.

Brandon Carr
Brent Grimes

I'd gladly take either of these.

I'd take Carr. For some reason, I've never been a big fan of Grimes. I know he's pretty good, and ATL hasn't had that great of a pass rush, but I don't think he's a top-tier, 8-10 million a year guy.

I agree I didnt even think of them. I'd still rather draft someone but I'll take one of these guys

Neither have we, I'd rather try Finnegan out. This defense needs someone with an attitude and fire. I have never heard of any off field problems with this guy but on the field he plays with passion. Something this team, beside Dez lacks sorely.

Thomas and Carr for me.

And Thomas might come cheaper then the rest bc of the injury this year and he's just as good as any of the FA CBs

I'd also be VERRYY interested in signed Kiwinuka(NYG) instead of Spencer. Both players will have similar contract demands.... Kiwi is better though. Most underrated player on the Giants D IMO

Brandon Carr is the only one I want, and after Kirkpatrick and Claiborne the other cbs aren't worth the #14 pick and I doubt any will be ready to play day one. CB is the hardest position for a rookie to play.

So will their respective teams

Yep but the Falcons have a lot of money wrapped up in Dunta Robinson, so either they are going to sport a pair of CB's with over 100million in contracts combined, or other teams will be able to compete for him in the off-season.

Same with Carr with the Chiefs, Flowers just got extended for a 50million deal. Do they want to have two CB's making 8million+ a year?

How many teams really have that much in CBs for the two starters? As far as I know, only Philly.

I'm not saying the two teams, won't resign them. But if they want big deals, I can easily see each team letting the players test the waters.

I remember I really liked Flowers that draft. His measurables weren't off the charts, but the guy was a player on the field.

I actually think this is a deep group of potential FA corners:

Finnegan, Carr, Thomas, Grimes (though I don't like him), Porter, Middleton (under the radar), and Allen are all upgrades over that sieve Newman.

Let's see how well you'd do against a man who is 6'3" and 220 pounds of pure unadulterated physicality. Finnegan gave up five inches and nearly forty pounds.

A punk, he may be. However, his attitude is something we need. He can do his job and do it well enough to provoke action out of a more mild mannered talent. That tells me that he his enough provocation skills.

That being said... attitude is a big deal here. Seems that we get guys who have the right one off the field but not so much of one on it.
