FA grade so far

C+ - B-

We kept the right guys imo.

I think they brought in a lot of potential.

I like Sanborn. I think Javontee could end up really productive but there's a lot of hope and wishing with these fas. It could go terribly as well.

I will miss Jlew and Dlaw, but I understand letting go of the older guys.

This year will depend a ton on the coaching staff and a great draft.
You cannot expect to make the team better overnight with the draft. Everyone knows that it is a rare thing when a player comes in and contributes right away. Typically it is at a minimum 2 to 3 years of acclimation and building muscle to compete effectively.

This team was awful last year and will be worse in 2025.

Well, I don't think we've improved from last season - leave at that
We've possibly held serve.

Williams=Dowdle
Turner=injured Lawrence
Thomas=Golston
Sanborn/Murray=washed-up Kendricks
Elam=Lewis
Jones=Edoga

Some of them may turn out to be better than who they are replacing and some will be worse.

Its not 1985. If you take almost any skill position player on offense early you expect results early. Bowers, Jayden Daniels, LaPorta, Nabers, Harrison etc.
There are a ton of guys who have been drafted the last several years and yielded immediate results.

You can absolutely expect your team to improve with a good draft. That doesn't mean you plug in 6 all pros. It does mean your draft can go a long ways towards your up and coming season.

That wait 3 years stuff has become the exception in the modern NFL.

Williams is replacing Zeke. Draft pick will replace Dowdle.

Sam Williams replaces injured Lawrence.

They all are idiots.
Though not a high A or B, but definitely not a D.

C- to C+ range, but C+ is a stretch.
However an A compared to themselves from last year.
Keeping Osa was impirtant. I don’t see many of the signings being upgrades. I like Thomas and I think next to Osa it helps Micah a bunch. C- so far. But FA was never gonna be gane changing. What we do in the draft is key

I feel like a C, but I think you have to see how they draft.

For example if went Javonte, and drafted a guy who graded out like a Duece Vaughn to address RB depth Then the Javonte pickup looks really meh.

Sam Williams replaces injured Lawrence.
Draft pick doesn't count toward free agency, and we don't know when we will take one or how that player will turn out. Right now, Williams is Dowdle's replacement.

Just seems individually or as a group none of them have developed into where they were drafted. Some with very poor PFF grades and others meh at best.

Based on this, the likelihood is that maybe ONE plays well above where he ever has before.
And that is not even a good bet

All the previous other teams didn't just suck at development.
These guys just aren't that good.

I would caution against expecting anything above spotty starter capabilities at best.

Man, I'm trying to give them the benefit of doubt here, but I just don't see it. They haven't gotten better anywhere on the roster except maybe LB and that's a stretch

So far this offseason just based on last year

QB - downgraded as there currently isn't a serviceable backup, and Dak is injury prone
RB - downgraded
FB - same
WR - downgraded
TE - same
OL - same

DE - downgraded
DT - same yet more expensive
LB - upgraded slightly, maybe same with loss of Kendricks
CB - downgraded
S - same
Special Teams - same
Going off this list that's 5 maybe 6 downgrades out of 10. Half your team got worse. I agree with this list, so I give them an F.

Don't get me wrong, I like the activity and filling the roster out, but better players walked out the door while lesser players walked in.

I would give them a grade of “D” thus far.
I think they are taking flyers on a lot of the players they signed or traded for; seemingly banking on players’ pedigree and draft position rather than playing ability. I don’t think any of the new players can take the place of Gholston, Lewis, DLaw and even Dowdle. Add to this the FO is expending draft picks, which are a commodity for a team who typically builds exclusively via the draft.
With that being said, this is the most active the FO has been in free agency in years. So maybe that counts for something.
While I agree with you, I would just like to point out that they have not expended any draft picks for this year, just traded down a round in addition to grabbing each player.

Murray was traded along with their 7th (239) for one of our 6ths (188). Elam was traded along with their 6th (204) for one of our 5ths (170) and a 7th next year. We still currently have 10 picks in the upcoming draft.

That being said, it has once again been underwhelming and a D (at best) from me thus far.

Williams is replacing Zeke. Draft pick will replace Dowdle.

Injured Sam Williams replaces injured Lawrence.
Fixed the bottom for you. We have no idea what, if anything, Sam is capable of giving us next season at this point.

And what does a draft pick have to do with "FA so far"?
