SS - Jamal Adams (Trade 2021 1st and one of our 3rd rounders), OR move Awuzie to safety and sign a vet FA CB
QB - Cam Newton?

PR (Punt Returner) - Either re-sign Tavon Austin or go after Ted Ginn. We need a speedy returner to augment Special Teams

Don’t think any of that is realistically going to happen.

We may sign a few guys like Clay Matthews or Markus Golden and Marshall Newhouse. But don’t expect much

lol none of that is happening. Maybe we get ex packers like LB Clay Matthew & SS Morgan Burnett. A blocking TE like Luke Stocker and bring in a vet guard like Ronald Leary who already has chemistry with some of the Oline and Zeke.

Would love to see a big 320+ pound NT to back up Poe in the middle. Poe is the only one of his kind currently on the roster. A veteran safety like Morgan Burnett or Tashuan Gibson wouldn’t hurt either.

That's why I was hoping that we would have grabbed Benito Jones as a UDFA.

Let's face it...our secondary is going to get lit up. I was willing to package a 1st and Chidobe last year to trade for Jalen Ramsey or Jamal Adams. Chidobe has reached his ceiling as a CB. If we do not have a catalytic player in our secondary (ala Jamal Adams), we will have to rely on our offense to get it done.

We already have our Morgan Burnett in Clinton-Dix, and as for the calls for a backup G like Ron Leary, the fact is we need another backup swing tackle more than a guard. I like Xavier Woods as a SS, he just hasn't proven to be more than just adequate. We need a 'catalyst' in our secondary to make our defense formidable. I believe that our front 7 will work fine, but our secondary is average at best at the moment.

And, we don't need Clay Matthews - gimme Griffen instead.

Madden mentality strikes again. If it was absolutely clear all they needed was a few 1 year rentals to get to SB I’d be for it. They aren’t. They are still hovering at .500.

Truth is there might be one more vet coming in. Either S or DE. That’s it. Maybe they swap a player with a team. I’m not holding my breathe on Adams. He’s a baller and has the value of one. If I’m NYJ I’m asking for a ransom and not in picks, in 2 proven NFL players on your team with contracts I like for mine.

and honestly we have a chance to see what our current secondary can do with better coaching and hopefully better pass rush. I bet they roll the dice on that.

Lewis and Chido are in contract years. I expect them to play for a contract and play well.

I like the idea of obvious passing downs making Chido our safety. Run a defense for small ball like TCU does (Gary Patterson defensive philosophy).

I don't know anything about Griffen. How good is this 32 year old 4th round pick? If Smith and Gregory are playing, do we need him?

I'm kind of out on Adams due to the cap and picks they want for him. If Dallas gives that up then Adams is going to want to be the highest paid safety in the league. And there's nothing we can do about it.

Cam Newton? This isn't Jameis, Cam is going to want to be paid pretty well. This has as much chance of happening as me making a living selling salt water taffy at a retirement home.

Many seem to believe we’re bringing Antwaun Woods back. I’m not certain but he’s probably better suited at back up than a starter given his history here...
