Maybe....But Johnson's hands aren't all that good.

That was the real knock on him coming out of Penn State. Good size, speed combo.....average hands. He drops some easy ones.

This offense is not going to be nearly as productive w/out TO and Glenn (not a suprise, any offense would take a hit w/out its two starting WR's). Crayton can't match up with a #1 CB-and he's not being paid too either.

With TO and Glenn out, is there a worse WR core in the NFL? Maybe ATL? Miami?, SF?, Minn? You could certainly make an argument that Dallas would be scrapping the bottom of the NFL w/out TO and Glenn.

Given the fact Glenn is probably done after this year, Dallas is one injury to a 35 year old WR from having no deep threat and striking no fear in defenses.

For that reason, I'm in complete agreement that immediate help at the WR is needed in the offseason in the form of a veteran, whether by trade or Free Agency.

Agreed, all we need is Owens...but he's 35. I'm suggesting this team was put together with two legit WR threats for defenses to be concerned with. I believe this offense COULD be very good (not to the level it was for the first 13 games this year) with a healthy Glenn (or somone like him) w/out TO.

Mathis, from the Texans could be a sleeper.Henderson from the Saints could be a good one with a change of teams.Alot of speed but not alot of production,Therefore could come cheaper with alot of production.

Johnson has good hands and speed. To me that is what we need.Since austinis pretty much proving to be a guy with speed but no hands. Hurd does not have speed. And Stanback is still too raw to know if he will ever be anything.

Bryant Johnson is definitely a consideration at WR. Alot will be determined if we opt to try and trade for Roy Williams, WR Detroit which if the Detroit Free Press is anywhere close to right could be a possible.

As to RBs, I actually like Justin Fargas and Jesse Chatman over the other options to pair with Barber (assuming we don't draft McFadden or Felix Jones). Fargas has good speed and good change of direction. Both of them have power and don't go down with the first hit.

I doubt Al Davis let's Fargas get away, he's a typical Davis guy, super fast

The only other free agents that would be interesting are Alan Faneca OG and Jared Allen DE. Would be surprised if we even looked in either direction of those.

I'm pretty sure that Allen signed an extension

Yeah...Colbert is terrible. Thus the reason the Panthers continue to bring in WR's every year. I had high hopes for him too, but unfortunately he creates no separation and can't catch a cold.

Trade one of our 1st round picks and a 3rd rounder for WR Chad Johnson

Use other 1st round pick on CB Antoine Cason or Mike Jenkins (let Jacques Reeves walk in FA)

Sign a veteran RB like Dominic Rhodes to complement Marion Barber and draft a young RB in the 2nd round like Mike Hart

Draft players at ILB, OG, C, S, QB

Ayodele is released, Burnett becomes starter at ILB
Berger is released and Proctor moves back to guard
Roy STAYS
