I think the 'Boys will add two more FA before the draft to add some veteran experience to the roster. Here's a couple of folks I wouldn't mind taking a look at that could come fairly cheap:

Elton Brown - G/T - 6-5 332 26 yrs old - Arizona Cardinals
- seems like a Houck type who has played both G/T. I think better than both McQuisten and Proctor.

Mark Tausher - T - 6-3 316 31 yrs old - Green Bay Packers
- gives us an experienced tackle in case Flo/Columbo go down. Better than McQuisten

Shaun Cody - DT - 6-4 310 26 yrs old - Detroit Lions
- can give us more than Saivii

Keyaron Fox - LB 6-3 235 27 yrs old - Pittsburgh Steelers
- knows the 3-4, quality ST player, brings a winning attitude to the locker room

Ralph Brown - CB 5-10 185 30 yrs old - Arizona Cardinals
- played well in the playoffs, seems like a quality guy in the locker room who can bring some of that playoff experience that we lack

I also like the thought of Torry Holt/Ken Lucas, but I don't see them coming cheap.

While I'm a firm proponent that you need to build through the draft, the Cowboys have, for some reason or other, a terrible track record of drafting quality OL.

I wouldn't mind adding depth at OL via FA and using most our picks on defensive side of the ball.

They are all too old. They will be 30 in a couple of years and lose all of their ability.

Besides playing for Det what happened to Cody? Wasn't he a can't miss player?

I would like to add a two more to that list:

Mark Setterstorm - OG - 6'4" 315 Age 25 - St. Louis
Quality youthful depth and better skills than Proctor

Justin Miller - CB - 5'10" 201 Age 25 - Oakland
Dynamic return man (much better than anything Pacman has done recently) and can add quality depth/youth to our secondary.

Speaking of Pacman, do you think he comes back if the recent charges are dropped and Scandrick is moved to safety?

I almost believe Jerry needs to add a CB and a OL if he truly wants to enter this draft and not have picking for need in the back of his mind.

Holt and Lucas are going to want at least $5-$6 mill per season.

I dont see us offering that much.

I'd give Cody a shot. I liked him coming out and I think he could still probably help in the DL Rotation.

Mark Tauscher tore his ACL at the end of last year. I doubt he'd be out there if it wasn't for that.

I'm sure we plan to pick up a DT in the draft, hence no use for Shaun Cody. A mid-level veteran CB sure would make sense, though.

I would also like to bring back S Abram Elam

Where did he play this past season? He looked like a good #5 back when we had him.

I think Dallas is done in free agency until after the draft. Since the draft is the "unknown" right now, Dallas, I expect, will take a "best-player-available" approach to their drafting, and then return to free agency after June 1 to fill any remaining holes through free agency. That's exactly what they did with Holland last year, and by doing so, they added a capable backup at G.
