Fairley probably out of range, but...

Never seen a dirty player that could be coached clean. You numbies do remember how hard core the NFL is with hits now, right? And we get more penalties anyway. So you get a guy who already has a dirty reputation here- guess what? A personal foul magnet, that would get suspended half way through his rookie season. PASS.

Let the Wussification continue.

Next time there is a Sapp, Suh, Polamalu or Harrison on the board PASS.

Take off Ray, Suggs and Ed too cuz they hit too hard and are too aggressive.

We need some nice passive guys like Newman.

Fairley has room in his game to improve only starting for one year. He still has a tendency to stand straight up at the snap and then attack the line allowing the OL to get into his pads. With more practice and playing time, he will be a force.

What about No. 93? Sorry I did not memorize the name, but I saw two or three plays in which I remembered Leon Lett, because of the quikness and power of this guy...

In what round did we draft Lett?

What round was Charles Haley drafted in?

Great players come in different rounds; this is a deep draft for defensive players. We just need good ones that fit.

I'd love to get Peterson, Fairly and Carimi all at once. Odds are high we get none of them.

Guess you guys would pass on Suh too, given the way he racked up personal fouls this year and the way he almost broke Jake Delhomme's neck in a preseason game.

As for him being winded ... yeah, that happens sometimes when you're playing an opponent who no huddles the entire game. Didn't really stop him from completely dominating.

:laugh2:

Gotta love that in a player Rosh.

Suh is teh dirty and he'll never bez coached clean!!!

Vince Wilfork and James Harrison seem like real jerks on the field. They've also been key contributors to Super Bowl winning defenses. Who needs a guys like that when you got Igor doing disco dances after he holds the opponent to a 5 yard gain when he's down by 4 touchdowns.

Overwhelming wisdom in this post.

Sounds like some of these guys would prefer powder puff football.

Wussification.

Fairley is a dirty player. I don't want him on the team. Character still means something.

He jacks up QB's and RB's in the backfield left and right. Guy has a ton of talent.

I'd love to have him here.

Who said pass? There are some concerns, mainly his attitude and weight (he is fat and not built). He has high bust potential, bet he is built Andre Smith in Cincy

He has high bust potential because he's not built like Vernon Gholston?

So we should pass on Fairley cuz he's too aggressive?

That is why Dallas did not go after Charles Haley, too aggressive. Oh wait yes we did go after him. :laugh1:

No , I just can`t believe that some fans are concerned with his aggressive play.Just my weak attempt at sarcasm. Fairley is the only dl that I would consider with the 9th pick. For all these fans concerns with dirty play , a bit of Fairley`s attitude is just what Dallas needs. The current defense has no intimidation factor at all but some of the posters seem to like the cupcake mentality.

Fairley's blend of size and speed is truly incredible. He stands at 6'5'' and 298 pounds, and he has been clocked as fast as 4.83 in the 40-yard dash. An athletic defender, Fairley plays inside in Auburn's vaunted defense but he could move outside in a 3-4 scheme at the next level. It's a jump that he will likely make after his junior year based on his recent performance, and there is no reason to think he won't continue to astound at the combine.

I don't see this guy as fat and sloppy yes he is a big man playing a big mans game and has a quick burst to attack plays in the back field. I understand those who may have their own pet cat but to knock this guy and his ability is beyond funny

Agreed 100%.

I'm usually all about drafting defense, especially the front 7.

Spears and Canty were 2 of my top 4 petcats coming out.

I loved Hatcher in 3-4 range coming out.

Now I never take a 3-4 DE top 15 unless he looks like Suh or Peppers.

Fairley looks like he has some of that.

For those that don't want to draft Fairely because of his attitude. Ray Lewis dropped in the 1st round because teams were also concerned about his attitude and some of the things from his past, and look where he's at now.
