Wow, that's very interesting. To think some of the fairy tales we know might go back to before the written language. Just goes to show how much better people were at paying attention.

Interesting factoid. However, I never told fairy tales to my kids because I believed them to be not only boring but just plain evil. Sort of like teaching them about Santa then a few years later they find out you LIED to them.

I never lied to mine. I told them right from the start the truth and that Santa wasn't real....boy did that piss my parents off. But I told my parents that I would not perpetuate that lie nor ever lie to them. That pissed them off more...but my kids appreciated the truth and are glad I did it that way.
