Faith - I have little to no faith in Jerry or Garrett

Hope - I can hope all I want. With leadership from oilman/businessman in nfl. What am I hoping for?
Inexperienced coz that doesn't look like he is learning anything. What do you hope for?

Reality - the culture is set. Set by Jerry jones. No matter what Jason does or says. It is Jerry's bottom line in all things.

This is a house that is continuously built on a mud / clay foundation.
You get the first floor done and then the 2nd floor collapses and we try it again on same foundation.

In summary: Jerry is mud

Sounds like you should move out or buy mud insurance.

There is plenty to hope for. If the defensive line can be addressed in the same way the offensive line was last season this team has potential to do some damage.

Every year people like you convert, I see you running to every thread trying to put out fires (negative comments about the team) but there was someone like you here last year saying the same things.

You know what happened to that person? He saw the light. Heck I was you in about 1998, when Jerry used to give out false 40 yard dash times (4.1s and 4.2s) for his wrs and cbs. I bought all that he was selling but you know what changed me? Results. Those are something he can't get around, we just haven't seen results and that's what every fan should be concerned about.

Yeah, you pretty much nailed it. Only way it changes is if he is gone. Part of me wants to believe things could change if we get more stud players but I know it takes so much more than good players to succeed.

Hope: I hope we stay healthy

Reality: Even with back-to-back years with injuries killing our defense we were right there...see Hope

It took 17 years to get to the point where we just need a DL and we can do damage?

No matter how much you hate Jerry, it's pretty damn sad to wish for his death.

This is a friggen game of football! Pathetic!

haha, I doubt you have ever been anything like me. Not in 98, not ever.

Ive been a fan since well before then anyway. If you think there isnt anything to be optimistic about, Im sorry. I see it differently. I dont really need to go into detail because those that want to cry about the Cowboys dont want to hear anything close to being optimistic. If Dallas were 2-14 Id probably be a little more in the dumps.
A 8-8 season is nothing to brag about but Im not going to cry out how the sky is falling either. Some fans outlook seems a bit dramatic IMO.

I see a team, based of what Ive seen last year, that can make adjustments and compete.

I know... If I hated a man so badly as to wish for his death, I think Id stop cheering for the team he owned.

What kind of a pathetic loser wishes death upon another man for a game?
How unfortunate.

We've been 8-8 three years in a row. Doesn't look like any adjustments have been made

Faith - Jason Garrett has little of it in DeMarco Murray.

Hope - There is none for Miles Austin's hamstrings.

Reality - Tony Romo may not be able to adequately bounce back from his back injury.

Jerry Jones is the roof covering a house with faulty wiring, leaking pipes and peeling wallpaper with rain seeping into the attic.

We are all mortal, but thankfully the franchise is not. Someday it will receive an overdue overhaul.

Hope I am still around to see the eventual extreme makeover. If not, bless be those current and future Cowboys fans who shall. :)

I don't like anything about the Cowboys for now, be it Jerry, Garrett, Romo, or anyone else on this planet that I don't like. But, I would never wish death, or hope they die soon. Pathetic....

haha Youre not even 50 yet. Youll see it.

I think Austin is a goner and Murray will get more work next year... Romo and his surgery arent serious at all in terms of invasive surgries.

The rest? I dont know, cross your fingers.

Doesnt really matter. I think Jerry is going to out live everyone, some sort of vampire.

Agreed. I actually like Jerry. Awesome businessman. Great guy that wants nothing more to win despite some saying he just cares about money and spotlight. He wants to win more than we do ... He just thinks he can do it. He can't.

We have actually blown at least 3 chances to make a serious run in playoffs.

I want to believe but at a certain point you won't believe bs.

Was that funny? I don't think so.

I disagree. Dine fixes or not. I don't trust the players to make smart decisions. Romo specifically. Garrett,- I don't trust him to run and run out the clock to seal a game.
