Two weeks in a row Bones got schooled. Coach these guys up.

I've never seen a team give up a fake punt like that ever two games in a row.

This is Football 101 stuff not some high level trickery play.
Definitely. Was disappointing knowing they fell for same crap last week.

It's ridiculous. You'll go years before you see an opponent go for and convert a fake punt from inside their 35 yard line. We have it happened to us twice in the last 4 weeks. Fassel needs to be fired
I don't think you fire your special teams coach because a team fakes a punt inside their 35. Generally, that's not expected. I would have expected it by Philly, though, because they needed to get something going. Didn't see the Detroit one coming because there didn't seem to be a real need for it.

Teams watch film.
Obviously they see and are exploiting a weakness.

Honestly I thought it was just a great play by the Lions.

Cowboys had the run defended well.

The receiver got behind Tolbert and the RB or Safety of the Lions dropped a great throw on the run leading the receiver.
Noticed later on when Detroit punted, we had Nashon Wright out over the gunner instead of Tolbert. I'm not a big fan of putting receivers at those outside blocker spots anyway.

It was good execution. It looked like the punt protector might run, Tolbert bites for a split second and that's all it took. The pass was perfect. Sometimes you tip your cap. If memory serves correctly, Detroit actually got nothing from this drive?

That was a pretty well designed fake punt. Direct snap that looks like a run that turns into a pass. Tough to defend that and you're definitetly not expecting teams to go for it there. Tolbert has to defend that better though.

I think the problem is Tolbert. He cannot let that guy loose down the field like that. After he got burned by Seattle he should have been smarter on that second fake.

It's personel that Detroit exploited. Tolbert covering the gunner is what opponents are expecting. I can live with it if they are beating a true db but not a wide receiver trying to play db.

I'm glad it's worked twice on us now because there is no way we won't be prepared for it come playoffs after being embarrassed twice

It’s funny the team is 11-5 and fighting for a division and a #2 seed and the HC, the DC, the STC, the QB, the RB, and a few other players all need to be fired!! Y’all freaking amaze me.

And if they did fire them, you’d have a problem with their replacements and want them fired in a few weeks!! Just stop.

Fassel is a good coach but good grief. Twice in one month?

Also when’s the last time we had a punt return?
