Exactly. I was fine going for it both times they did the fake, due to momentum and in the second case running out of time. But on 4th and 5 it seemed crazy to punt down 2 scores with 7 to go in a manageable 4th down from your own 40.

so when the punt team goes out there you have to expect a fake.

The first one they were trying to get momentum after the bad start and it was just a bad throw.

The pass play was there Jones just did not make a good throw. John Fassel did this quite often in LA and this aggressiveness is why he was brought here.

I have no issue with doing them.....the 1st one was fine. Just a bad throw by Chris Jones. We ask why is Chris Jones on this team and didn't face any competition? Its for his legs and he's able to throw. Missed it there though.


The 2nd one made no sense. That was one of those that if you are going to go for it leave the offense out there.

I actually like that we're taking chances. And I think the first wasn't THAT bad a throw, it looked like Goodwin fell down in front. Yeah it was short, but it was catchable. A WR catches that. It was weird how he tumbled down. The second fake wasn't great, but when you attempt fakes, the defense is forced to defend the possibility.
Simply going for it isn't as mysterious.

As a fan/viewer, I had no beef with the 1st fake. Essentially, it worked. The execution was just a little bit off.

The 2nd fake however, was a weak call.
Obviously the Falcons were thinking we might fake it there, so there was no element of surprise. And going up the gut with FIVE yards to go is a bad look. Should’ve just kept the offense on the field there, IMO.

I genuinely thought the 2nd fake was going to cost us the game, when it happened. Glad I was wrong!!

The 2nd one was bad play calling for the distance needed. First one work just bad execution but I love the balls this staff has, drastic change from the past decade
