I saw this in another thread and it got me curious about the Falcon fans:
"You run two times and kick a fg you win the game. I'd be absolutely choked if I was a Falcons fan".
Does someone have the Falcon fan base post(s) of the game?

If I was Falcon's fan, I'd be saying Kyle Shanahan got paid under the table at half-time to blow this game...

You know... it seems dumb decision are becoming the norm.

These dumb decisions lead to extra chances to opposing teams. I'm sick of it!

Snatching a loss from jaws of victory!

If I was a Falcon's fan I'd be glad Kyle Shanahan is probably leaving for SF. We knew going into the game Atlanta's coaching had made several high profile "questionable" decisions over past few seasons. However, this second have was amazingly bad. I don't think I've seen a professional team make so many bad decisions in such a high profile game.

I've got a careful cadence of suicide watch calls with all of my friends / family who are Atlanta Falcons fans.

I live in Atlanta. Listening to sports radio most of the morning. Falcon fans are pretty numb right now . I don't think it has truly hit yet.

I'd retire from being an NFL fan.. then be back on the draft boards in a couple weeks

I'd be sick if I was a Falcons fan today, tomorrow and the rest of the year.
They had that game.
They lost it in 3 plays:
Freeman whiffing on that block that caused the strip sack.It was 3rd and 1.Keep that in mind.
Ryan taking a sack.
Holding penalty that effectively got them out of FG range.
The Falcons also ran close to 50 plays less than the Patriots.I believe it was 46 plays to 93 plays, and time of possession was obviously
disproportionate in favor of the Patriots.
You add all those things and ask yourself how did ATL got off to a 28-3 lead?
Even worse, allow NE to score 31 unanswered?
Yes,they will be sick FOREVER.

Just absolutely unreal. Mind boggling.

I can't imagine trying to get over that. Easily the worst Super Bowl loss of all time. Sickening.

The problem wasn't the lack of runs in the 2nd half. The Patriots were taking the runs away. The problem was that the pass plays called were 5 and 7 step drop plays. Needed to have 3 step drops and go to some quick hitters and screen plays. Instead, you have a defense that is trying to get to the QB and you're trying not to get sacked and you keep calling plays that take a while to develop and then you're surprised your QB gets sacked.

Getting first downs wins the game for the Falcons with ease, Shanahan just didn't understand what needed to be done and made some boneheaded pass play calls. It never ceases to amaze me how this is like rocket science for coaches.

If I'm Atlanta, I get a new logo and new uniforms...moving into the new stadium is a good start. They're going to need a complete brand overhaul

I noticed a number of times in the 4th Qtr, when the game was still well in hand for the Falcons, that they were snapping the ball with 15-20 seconds left on the play clock and the game clock was running. They gifted NE at least a couple of minutes just from that, alone. I just felt that the Atlanta coaches completely failed in situational football during that 4th quarter. NE only had one way to win that game, and Atlanta provided it for them. That was unreal.

Agreed. I can understand snapping with 5 seconds to maybe throw off the pass rushers, but 15-20 seconds left is just plain stupid.

With that big of a lead in the 4th quarter, the Falcons should not even have broken the huddle until there were 15 seconds left on the play clock.
