Falcons getting calls from several teams for 4

Zero chance it is Miami. I have expected the Pats to make a move. They went free agency crazy trying to plug holes. Kraft has said they want to change how they draft because it hasnt been working. And they have always traded out not up. And really, Cam again?

Denver has to be in the mix. What has Lock shown that would make them feel set at QB?

What about the Raiders? Mayock has always been in the camp of "If you think he is your guy, you got get him".

I say the Pats get it done. Last year left a very sour taste in the mouth.

IDK......Pats and Raiders would have to give up a lot to get to 4. Remember Roseman giving an interview after he traded up for Wentz. He talked about the process of drafting in the mid-first round and trying to get near the top. Something that stood out was the first goal, as he pointed out, was getting in the top 10 and then making another trade to move further up.

Obviously a great trade offer can trump everything, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if the Falcons were happy to stay at 4 and pick whoever they feel is the best non QB in the draft. They just restructured Matt Ryan again and he still has a crazy $40M in dead cap after 2021. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are still in “go for it” mode

If I'm ATL, I'm asking Miami for #6, #18 and Tua, and nobody's going to touch it. Think Miami would do that as well.
Miami started with:
#3
#18
#123
Tua

Right now they have:
#6
#18
#156
Tua
2023 1st-rounder
2022 3rd-rounder

By the traditional trade chart, that's actually a loser, but it really depends on how you value a 1st-rounder two years from now. It makes a ton of sense if they don't want to draft a QB this year and aren't partial to which top offensive guy they get.

If they did what you propose, they'd finish with:
#4
#156
2023 1st-rounder
2022 3rd-rounder

Overall, that would be disastrously bad. They would have given up Tua and a 2021 1st-rounder for a 2023 1st-rounder and a 2022 3rd-rounder, all for the privilege of dropping one place in the draft. I can't imagine them wanting to do something like this. I would fire my GM so fast.

good and bad for us.If they trade out than its likely 4 QBs going 1-2-3-4 and one less chance for us to get a good deal in a trade down situation but it also might drop a really good prospect like Sewell or Pitts to us.

I could definitely see Denver being one of those teams and I think the Bears are a very sneaky team that could possibly slide up because I don't think they're really done with Andy Dalton as QB1

Poor Bears. They absolutely should trade up, even more so than Denver.

Well yea lol. I'm sure they got calls day 1 after the season ended.

I'd probably put my money on Denver, Miami, or Philly, but I'd bet most teams from 6-18 have called.

Why would Philly try to move back up after moving down from #6?

If you don't like Tua, it doesn't matter, he's not an asset. You fire the GM b/c he picked a poor QB.

I mean you could say that 6 and 18 is too much, and like I said originally, that's a lot of logistics I wouldn't do. Or, you can be loading up offense with 6 and 18 to surround Tua, and then be loaded to make a move in 2023 if you want. I just don't think it's as black and white as pick numbers.

Why would Philly try to move back up after moving down from #6?
Because they are stupid and horribly run. Plus, they now have a lot more ammo to make the deal. #12 and two firsts next year is a way more appealing package than #6 and 1 first.

Well, it's not CAR, they can stay there and take Pitts or a WR now.

That is just one of many questions about that franchise.

I think all of us who complain about the Cowboys FO need to take a hard look around. They're not the best but far, far from the worst.

Makes sense. If you just traded for a young QB. Keeping him clean in the pocket would be my top priority if I were a GM
Yeah. Also, Carolina used every single draft pick last year on the defense, so they may want to work on the other side of the ball this year.

Tua could be if they go after a security blanket like Pitts because he will be a match up problem for most teams and they still have all those other picks to put more pieces around Tua and Pitts. I think the Dolphins made out like bandits if you really look at it.

Well they did if Tua is the guy.
