Falcons' RT Kaleb McGary Retires

Y'know, with the amount of money that NFL players make, you're seeing more early retirees before they really get beat up, especially with the spate of CTE's.
A lot of these guys don't really love playing football. They love the money. So, once they have enough, the motivation to prepare and play isn't there anymore. McGary made 44M in his career and he's good. He's only got a wife and no kids. He's not flashy. After taxes, he probably has a 25M nest egg earning 6% a year. So, thats 1.5M a year if all he did was sit around the house and not pursue other interests.

The more interesting thing is going to be how high these college NIL deals go. If you can earn 30M playing college ball for 4-5 years, what's the motivation to go get beat up in the NFL for 5-10 years? College QBs are now commanding 7-8M a year at top programs and its only going up.
