I think it's the other way around, HC wants to add to the roster, GM wants a future, franchise QB.

Exactly....most head coaches, especially new ones, do not like their future in the hands of a rookie QB.

Gut feeling, I think they draft a QB. They aren't usually this high in the draft and the QB class doesn't look as good next yr.

There is an in house fight going on with their new HC & GM, one wants to look to the future, the other wants to add to the roster now. Reportedly, they are now on the same page. We will see who wins, but it's very possible the Falcons go QB. This doesn't mean Pitts falls to us in any way as every team wants him.

And if for whatever reason the Falcons don’t take Pitts at #4, it makes too much sense for the Bengals to grab him to pair with Burrow.

Honestly, the Bengals will have their choice of potential pro-bowlers on the offensive side of the ball.

Pitts, Sewell, Chase are all looking to be there at 6

If the Dolphins, Lions, Panthers, Broncos weren’t all looking for offensive players as well, this would be a great spot for the Bengals to trade down but with all those teams just behind them in the market for the same players as the Bengals it makes sense for them to just stay out and take the guy they like best.

They are really in a good spot with QB hungry teams all drafting ahead of them
